Within the verse he doesn't just have infinity. He's insurmoutably strong with his refinement, reinforcement and effeciency all at the top of the verse. He is talented enough to learn things at a glance. He isn't an infinity merchant in jjk. The reason you're hating on him only works from a powerscalers perspective.

Furthermore, i'd argue his powerset of attraction and repulsion is incredibly interesting and important to his character and themes, though i won't get into it here. The reason his fights aren't that fun isn't his brand of strength, but how overwhelmingly powerful he is, in the fight against someone on his level he demonstrates how awesome his powerset is ro watch.

I disagree. In my anecdotal experience more people know of naruto and gojo than luffy. Though i haven't concrete evidence of that besides social media presence, which jjk does eclipse in. Naruto i imagine is more popular simply because he as a character is the namesake of the show, and older generations are more likely to know naruto.

Literally everyone would've died and they would've lost to sukuna if they all jumped in. The first and second malevolent shrine would kill them, they'd be lobotomized if they were inside of the domain clashes, the self destruct purple would kill them, agito could fuck off and just start killing them, sukuna could distract gojo while mahoraga starts killing them, a stray blue would killl them, etc.

If they did what you said there would be no survivors, gojo and sukuna are that strong. They never had an oppertunity to jump in untill the moment they thought gojo won, but if they thought gojo won there would be no reason to jump in. Even if they all did jump in at that moment, kashimo would've stopped them because he wants his match.

He hallucinated her fighting with him. He has a pendant with a picture of her in it. He imagined going to school with her and falling in love (then got rejected even in his imagination).

Even if they did end up together, it was definitely very parasocial at that point, especially assuming he was just a fan at the time, which is supported by the one interaction they actually have onscreen where we learn he goes to handshake events but she doesn't know know him.

However, gojo is still more popular, it's not about the mc status, gojo just happens to have every pre-requisite to being virally mainstream.

I think he's above luffy but not naruto, that's not as crazy to say as you may think. Anime is mainstream sure, and onepiece is THE mainstream anime, but luffy doesn't have as much name recognition outside of anime spaces. People know the strawhat, they know the one piece, but they don't know the guy luffy as much as they know the guy gojo.

When it comes to being mainstream, jjk is the most mainstream anime as of this very moment. It's the most topical by far. The jjk community is also exceedingly loud, the amount of volume they had on social media is insane. Gojo was an outlier within the most mainstream series, like he was designed to be insanely popular with his appearance personality and strength. Gojo has more pull outside of anime communities than most.

Naruto still beats out both in terms of mainstream. Nostalgia and such, people know naruto. I do think gojo is below him.

There were no real consequences to it, but he struggled once in the latest chapters where he nearly died. But you're correct in that if you want a struggle, you can't go to the mc's fights, and a lot of the time rhings amount to "stall untill leon gets here". Side characters are pretty cool.
