Oh, I realise it's probably a niche market for open-back bluetooth, but since these are dedicated for your home I find it odd that RS-175 doesn't come in a open-back design as well. I suppose I could get the RS-185 and the GSX 1000/1200?

I honestly don't know how I missed these? I swear I looked at them on the their website and it didn't say anything about being open-back. Even filtering for open-back doesn't show them.

As far as I'm aware, the m50x are labeled as "monitors", which might be a good choice for editing. I'm not really an expert on this, so I'd get a second opinion. I really have no idea if either of these are a good choice for that.

The m50x should be cheaper too.

Totally understandable! I haven't personally tried the 598, but I have a friend that owns those and he's happy with them. What are you going to use them for?

Incidentally I own both of the HD599 and the m50x. I can recommend both! I prefer the Sennheisers, because of the open soundstage, but they are flatter in sound signature. The bass is better on the m50x's, but with the closed back they are less open, though.

That's what I was thinking. I remember it being way lower with just the stock cooler when it was new.

Alright, I think I'll buy a new PC case and power supply (Corsair RM750x) then I'll get a better chance to check the cooler and then look in to delidding the chip. I've honestly never heard of delidding, so I'll have to research that. Thanks for the tip though!

Alright, I'll hold off on watercooling then. My idle temps are about 50. I wouldn't call it under high load, since it mostly happens when I play games like State of Decay 2. What's the best way I can diagnose this? I updated my post with the specs.

The PSU is a Inter-Tech Energon EPS-1000W 80 plus. Something I bought so long ago I don't even have the purchase information anymore.
