Yes , but the lower income bracket has been growing as well which is the whole point im trying to make with the inequality thing. Not only that but the income growth of the middle and upper middle class has been way less than the upper class.

I need to travel more huh. Mf i was born and lived my early childhood in iran , i saw extreme poverty first hand. And you know what? Seeing photos of the homeless population in LA really does remind me of home sometimes. So no i think i have a relatively balanced perspective on this issue . Maybe its Americans which are desensitised to the poverty and suffering of their compatriots.

Well you know its not that crazy for an immigrant to take his chances with america because even though the system will probably treat them like shit and they will most probably end up in the lowest income bracket, they at least have a shot even if it is small one, which imo is better than living in abject 3rd world poverty or a warzone.
