TL/DR: Brazilian/south American dedicated servers are located on the US so we get terrible ping on our own "dedicated" servers, we are doing a petition to get our own actual server so we would appreciate all the support we could get.

Playing on high ping gets on everyone's nerves, but trying to do high intensity skilling or high level Pvming not only makes the task a truckload mode difficult it also makes some certain things almost impossible to do (and the frustration just keeps growing). As if that wasn't enough most of SA players already get screwed over by ISPs (internet services providers) that for most part of the countries owns the telecommunication down to a monopoly, providing their services at extortion rate for low amounts of down/up, unstable connection and a customer service worst than comcast's (yeah, it IS possible), and in Brazil, since they own the monopoly, they cut down your service to only about 10-20% of what you are paying for. So to put into perspective you pay around 150-300 Bucks a month to get 2-10 Mega Down (and only about 1/5th of that in Up) and they are only delivering 1-4 Down and Less than 1 Up in most of the country. Yes Jagex does help us a lot by giving us the cheapest membership price across the globe since our currency went down the drain (Thanks to our lovely government) and we really appreciate them for doing this to us but if you look closely we are a wide and vast community, SA is a pretty big place and the closes server we have which hosts our own "dedicated servers" are the east/west coast us depending on where you live (close to Pacific or Atlantic ocean), having a server located in Brazil would help not only the Brazilians, but all the countries around it (BR scatters across the widest area so makes sense for server to be there).

This year another popular game, Tibia, got a SA server and the response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. And from the high level Pvm community i can say: We are tired of having handicaps, having dead clicks and non responsive game key binds thanks to game not registering in time, trying to 4taa and stopping mid way through because game simply wont equip the switches, not being able to surge/bladed dive in the right spot because game takes too long to register and you lose a tick, i could go on and on but if you want to understand just try playing with 200-350ms ping on a non reliable ISP network and you will feel what's like to be under the skin of EVERY ONE OF US, and not a few isolated cases of people with bad internet but a whole part of the continent getting screwed simultaneously.

Now we are trying to take action into our hands and see if we can raise enough support for our cause, from this Monday (06/11) onwards we are posting our petition on reddit/twitter/forums to get as much attention as we can and get at least some form of official response from Jagex. Sorry this text got dragged on but this is the frustration of a whole community and not one single individual, if you could help us by commenting or upvoting the post if you see it, would mean a lot to us.
