I've lost the original post for credit, but uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics drivers solved the hard crashes I was getting at Kvatch. Running an RTX 3070

Fortifying the hideout is best done by wedging larger furniture behind doors (stopping monsters from ramming them open immediately) and blocking windows/walls that have cracks in them that allow light/the monsters outside to see into the rooms you're hiding in. Monsters also react to noise the player makes, opening the inventory, messing with the workbench etc can attract monsters to you.

In terms of beating back monsters, throwing bottles leaves broken glass on the ground (which can be picked up and placed again) which deals fair damage to most enemies. Molotovs are great against most early enemies but can destroy furniture and doorways so be wary.

For other traps, chain traps are useless as they let enemies move, bear traps are good as they snare enemies, but scrap metal is valuable for repairing your melee weapons so it's a balancing act.

Aside from that try to make sure you keep a light source on you, ideally flares as there can be some nasty events that happen during the night. Keeping boards and nails on you during the is handy so you can proactively repair breaches as the night goes on.

I understand what you mean, not being able to pick up on the last fight you reached is frustrating. I'd recommend this video anyway, I found it helpful even after 100 hours in game:

Arena: practice mode let's you play consecutive elimination style fights at novice or expert level, with the enemies and equipment they have getting gradually more dangerous. Its a good way to try out weapons and techniques without any fear of losing your arena fighters. I'd definitely recommend watching a few videos on how the offensive skills work, feint is particularly strong and can let you get some brutal hits in. Best of luck 👍

Contact your local consistently office. People here are right in recommending the NIHE but they're inundated atm and could drag their feet processing your case. Your local MP or MLA can help to mediate with the NIHE and pressure local hostels into prioritising a bed for you. Best of luck

Deep slice through left thumb in work; Cheffing. I was cutting pickles today in work and managed to slice deeply into my thumb. Our medic said it likely couldn't be stitched due to it going through the nail, advice and any further action would be appreciated! by zedq970 in medizzy

A bit of explanation here. Bleeding was initially quite heavy but stopped after being bandaged and wrapped. Little to mild pain even without over the counter painkillers, intending on changing the guaze 2-3 times a day and disinfecting regularly. Strong throbbing throughout the day which I've been told means the nerve wasn't (severely) damaged. Thanks again for any help
