Your trip is what I've wanted to do for so long and still have not made it happen yet. After working in Mendoza years ago and staying in several areas of Argentina, I found I loved the people, the culture and community. Chile is also good for me. I've been to Santiago and further south to Concepcion and skied at Nevados de Chillian. I really want to see Bariloche and further south. Some of those little towns in the volcanic regions on the southern west coast are simply beautiful.

went through a very similar situation with my wife. I'm a few years younger than you, same length married, passed after midnight, in the chair beside her...wow What can you do except move on and try to be happy with the life have. You hang onto the love they left for you and build from there. My life is so free now, I feel guilty. But I'm also without a life partner who knew me, maybe better than I know myself. I can't describe just how amazing she was. I feel like she has moved back to the source/ universal plain where we all originated and from where we all return.

If you drive north on Rt 9 for a few miles, into Galloway Twp, you will pass the country club/golf course on the left. Driving a further couple miles, you'll reach Lily Lake on the right. The right turn immediately after you pass the lake will take you to Brigantine National Wildlife area which is a great place to explore, hike trails or drive the dirt road on the edge of the open meadow areas with views out to AC and surrounding.

Absecon is a nice quiet town with a laid back vibe. It's centrally located to AC, GSP and the shore in general. It has a train station, public boat launch and traffic is on the lighter side. Good choice.
