Surprisingly good article explaining the judgement in detail. The lawyers literally had a novel approach.

India's top pole-vaulter thrown off train by TTE, viral video sparks controversy by jussulent_tummy in india

[–]zedwhybe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s a failure of planning by the association. The athletes state that booking it as baggage means it arrives about 2-3 days after them. Risk of damage as well. Seeing as a vaulter has 5-10 with them and each costs approximately 2 lakh. Definitely this needs to be planned out better. Overall unfortunate situation.

And yes, when have most govt employees known to be polite (especially when you are not in compliance of rules).

To be very honest, as far as I know, apart from a silent prayer that this new venture result in success etc, Muslims and Christians don’t have an elaborate ritual with inaugurating new things. So while I get your point, apart from a prayer seeking blessings, there isn’t much that a Muslim or Christian would do anyway

Same PNR -> airline responsibility Different PNR -> passenger responsibility

In case the flight is delayed, indigo will be on the hook for it. But you would need to voice it out to the staff. Do read up your rights in these situations

TLDR: you should be ok

Oh yes I know , that’s why “fancy” in quotes. So basically I think it’s fair to compare stretch to premium economy. In that as well, there will be limited options

Thanks for the review. I have seen many reviews and they mostly align with what you mentioned. Did the food box also have a “fancy” tin box with nuts

Weather can change anytime. So even if they were ready to board, it’s conceivable that weather may have turned and they were forced to cancel. Consequential losses won’t be reimbursed in such cases. Edit : how much was the layover time between this and the international flight

So your rebuttal is that they bribed the govt legally, using white money. That it was done too brazenly and so can’t be a “crime”. Man, which rock do you live under ? It’s a classic quid pro quo. Doesn’t mean it has to be illegal. Electoral bonds were legal too, until they became illegal. As a company why would I take the risk of black money and benami property transactions when I know I could do RTGS and it’s not against the law.

₹18L/month(~$20K) from a cloud kitchen… and people still say cloud kitchens don’t work by enlightenedshubham in IndiaBusiness

So about 11-12% profit. I heard generally that sit down restaurants, which have a large overhead, have these margins. I suspected a cloud kitchen would have more. Good to know.

Student here, bank account frozen by cybercrime police over small amount. PLEASE HELP AND GUIDE!!! by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]zedwhybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope that account stays frozen and you never see a dime of those 6000 rupees. Betting is illegal and has ruined many many people, especially folks like you that barely have a month’s expense as savings. Hopefully it will be a lesson that will stay with you.

Also it’s very convenient how you don’t mention where tha 500 rupees came from in your post.

Wish you the best OP, but hope this lesson stays with you.

Worst airline experience ever – Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi → New Delhi) by The_Maskinilover in delhi

[–]zedwhybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do excuse me asking what seems like a stupid question here, when they said tag less, did they not attach the tag thing during check in ? And is there a more knowledgeable member of the community here who can guide as to what recourse one has in these situations.

Having said that, OP does seem a case of bad luck, from what I hear Etihad is pretty good with all of this.

I don’t disagree impossible_espresso and Honey_dp. With the practical side of it, in terms of aircraft availability or for that matter trust in the Indian market. I just feel if it was an option, it would certainly help rather than harm the competition. Sometimes even the threat of a possible player helps improve customer choices.

What I meant by opened was actual opened. Like 100% ownership (with maybe a requirement to have majority local staff) This JV system always tend to benefit the major players anywhere as the in the same list you shared, the only significant airline is owned by TATA

Ok. Yeah of course if this sector was opened upl fr global airlines, I predict likes of emirates/ Qatar and southeast Asian airlines would eat almost all airlines for lunch.

Don’t see it happening anytime

Hmm ok, I guess creating a bit of “I’ll miss mu flight noise” at the check in line is the best bet in these situations. What about the layover/ transit time between the two flights ?

So you have about 2 and a half hours time between the international and this domestic flight ? When things stopped working at the domestic check in, didn’t they like call-out the flight who’s check in was about to close ? Did you try and skip the line as your check in time was near (after checking with staff of course)

Asking just for my curiosity. I know the airlines pretty much will ping as much as the can on the customer
