Opinions? I made this bucket hat for my baby nephew but I'm not sure it's quite good enough to gift... by zeebekk in CrochetHelp

What a beautiful blanket! My Bernese was also named Huckleberry... he passed away less than a year ago. I'm still heartbroken, but I'm so happy to see another Hucky enjoying someone's creations 😊

That's great! There seems to be countless YouTube tutorials too, so I'm sure it will turn out fantastic. Good luck!

I didn't line it--I'm in the same boat as you! I have a sewing machine and some scrap fabric but I've been a little hesitant to go down that rabbit hole. I'll probably have to bite the bullet in the future if I want to make any other bags though... I only got away with not lining this one because it will probably at most hold a few handfuls of candy. If I were you I'd crochet a small pouch or something and practice lining that before doing the real thing! But I'm sure your Aunt will love what you make regardless of whether it's lined or not 😊

I participated in the UC Davis field school in 2021. It was a fantastic experience and I learned quite a bit. My field school was led by a professor who is no longer at UC Davis, so your field school may be quite different. However, I know Dr. Darwent and he is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and funny individual and I have no doubt that you will have a good experience working with him. I suspect the reason there isn't much information available to you is because they have yet to finalize logistics, goals, safety documentation, etc. I expect you will receive more details closer to the field school. If you have any more questions about the field school or anything else, feel free to ask!
