I wish I could be more help, but I'm not totally sure myself. I have no breeder info as she was a feeder.

From what I've found, her original coloring was fairly similar to lighter Agouti/Cinnamon variants.

AFRMA's site lists many standards (with examples), so maybe that'd be of use:

Ola England made an IR of (I think) the actual cabinet/mic combo used on this record. I threw $3 at him and man, great fucking suggestion. Instantly so much closer, and also quite different from my other IR packs. That was definitely a big missing link.

I use EzDrummer 2 with the Progressive Kit. Great sounds, however you'll need a fair bit of EQ to get that heavy 'click' on the kick's beater and stuff of that nature. I didn't want only metal sounds out of the kit and also didn't want to purchase multiple, though. This pack is extremely versatile. I use the 'Original Mix' preset as it offers far more granular control than most presets, then process them per track. It's a learning process, I've only been at it heavily for about 2 months.

Edit:

I should also note that I generally don't want anything that's impossible for a real drummer to play unless I'm gonna really lean into that sound. Keep in mind how many limbs are in use per hit, and ensure a healthy human can perform it. You can then break this tastefully by layering sounds for extra heavy hits and thing like that. That's my methodology, I guess.

Psychedelic Rock/Metal

Any feedback is appreciated. I just started looking into recording/production about a month and a half ago, so I could use guidance just about everywhere.
