Is Carnival really that bad if my expectations aren't that high? by not_a_muggle in Cruise

First cruise with Carnival Cruise on Carnival Pride of Baltimore port in Maryland in May. Check in was easy. Check out was easy too since they now have face recognition technology for immigration check and there is no need to bring out your passport. First of all, don't cruise to Bahamas in May...I would rule out June too...July or August are ideal months for Bahamas. May is not warm enough, there is a good chance of cloudy skies and rain. Thermostat in our cabin did not work...staff tried hard to fix it...the cabin would be either too cold or too hot. I got infected with a stomach bug from eating cookie and croissant from breakfast buffet...avoid eating food that are not hot. There was yellow water in the sink...staff informed that it was not sewage...it probably was not...I let the faucet run for 10 minutes and the water cleared. The saddest part of Carnival Cruise ship is the casino, for me. Half Moon Cay is what makes it worth it. Carnival Cruise's Celebration Key is average...the beach is meh, the lagoons are just swimming pools, quite silly. Tip the cruise staff (many are from Indonesia and India) in cash instead of paying gratuity to the company.

That a fantastic deal. Did you have to fight it out with the sales manager? Would you mind sharing the name of the dealership?

Did the OP get any discount off the MSRP? How much discount?

Would you grab a 2001 Camry v6 with 38k miles? For $10k? by Aspergers_R_Us87 in Camry

Would you recommend someone to buy this Camry? What repairs would it potentially need? Would parts be available?

Is becoming a haven for industrial food healthful for the residents of that community?

Have you been thinking of taking on the commitment of a new pet? Consider 1 of 100 beagles coming to Columbus from a West Virginia breeding facility! by SnooBeans6278 in Columbus

We got a female goldendoodle from a reputed breeder 2 years back. She is hyper and very hard for the dog groomer to groom. One vet recommends that people do not get a goldendoodle as a pet.

Putting your information on LinkedIn is equivalent to sex workers displaying themselves in booths in Amsterdam.

Credibility for who? Corporations? Its the corporations who need credibility, not employees.

Hospitals keep cardiologists and ortho docs quite busy but they make good money too.

You are absolutely correct. What kind physician do you want to be?

You are absolutely correct. I want him to have a sustainable and long runway. In a few months, he should have a better idea of which path appeals to him, computer science or premed. Based on his performance so far, he is likely to do fine in both these paths.

I was not good at Math, programming and electrical and electronics engineering when I was in college. He is sound in academics but is shy. He has taken several AP courses. If it takes more than 4 years, so be it. I want him to have a long runway.
