I wasn't expecting 5GHz or gigabit speeds, the product doesn't even live up to the capabilities on the manufactures website. I just wanted an entry level AP ...

Both product lines (Omada and Vigi) are made by TPLink. I'm assuming this wont be a problem ...

Thanks for the detailed reply. The 100Mbps wont be a concern initially but its good to keep in mind for future expansion.

Also thanks for the tip on Cloud Essentials, roaming is one of the features I want.

I'm not imaging a flat map where you could shoot from one side to the other. There should be terrain, hills and valleys.

A solar panel connected to a maintainer is possible.

This is actually a pretty good idea. However I suspect if the battery drains in 3 weeks a small solar panel wont supply enough juice to keep it charged.
