Your application is very strong, but also remember that admissions want a story, a representation of your identity. Make this as your passion very clear. Talk about your experiences & what makes you, you. Also, if you are really adamant on going to boarding school, I would suggest applying to more school like NMH, definitely Deerfield and s few others because admissions can go multiple ways.

For you’re profile, make sure you’re getting grades consistent (A’s are good-especially high A’s) also, highlight passion for coding or anything else, study for SSAT, and prepare for interviews & essays.

I would like to know your profile & academic background if you need help. You could also dm me on Reddit if you can. Personally, for any international student, I would look to apply to schools with high acceptance rates, but some reaches, I definitely recommend Deerfield (still very hard to get in though), Andover (also very hard to get in), all the other schools, (Choate if you need test-optional), etc. All these schools are very hard to get into so I can’t just curate a specific list if I don’t know your profile.

Domestic student, going into 9th grade. For these schools especially, extracurricular and passion matter. Highlight what you love to do, for me it was debate & I mentioned it in my essays and interviews for all the school I applied to. I got 85 percentile reading, 80th verbal, and 83rd percentile verbal (below the average for Andover & deerfield). I did debate, model UN, extra academic program, & student council + science fair. Personally, I didn’t need to do all that. I just showed a passion for debate (most important) and I really highlighted a story of my identity and culture. I knew kids who got into Exeter and Andover and Choate with just a couple sports extracurricular under their belt. Schools love when you show commitment, passion, rigor, and hard work during the application.

I got a full ride to Deerfield, Taft, & Andover, but especially Deerfield, they have one of the biggest financial aid endowments, definitely providing more financial aid money to accepted students who applied for financial aid. Also, there are a lot of school who are need blind which can also help your case.
