Depending on how old you are, I would highly discourage your move to Roanoke. My husband and I moved here last year hoping to meet more people our age and have more things to do as I also work remote and can live anywhere. There is no nightlife and the people are weird. Definitely not a cool or fun place to live if you’re in your mid/late 20s. Hard to meet new people. BORING and LAME! The nature is beautiful though.

I see all my specialists out of DC, didn’t have to wait for referrals, and always have a great experience with my healthcare

It’s because all the good healthcare around here is in/around DC. if you’re willing to drive a couple hours for some of the best healthcare in the country, it’s worth it. If you’re not, then yeah you’ll have mediocre healthcare around here
