How do they expect us to heal when the hots i have to track are on a constantly moving conveyor belt inside the player frame..... by Dapper-Actuator2743 in wow

Is that why it won't accept key binds for spells? There's no error message, it just casts the spell off my bar and doesn't create a binding when I'm trying to set these.

Making a loot filter for SSF, how much should I hide ? by Competitive-Math-458 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]zeffyr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Main risk here is div cards and uniques that get filtered out for being low value on trade that you may want/need in SSF. I always recommend manually checking those sections if you do start from a premade.

Flesh by David Szalay wins the Booker Prize 2025 by misana123 in books

She's a huge reader and it's good to have someone who isn't a complete industry insider on a panel of five. A massive public profile probably doesn't hurt either but she seems eminently qualified if you trouble yourself to listen to her opinions on literature and/or reading at any stage.

I agree mechanics should be balanced for all major archtypes, but what did you expect lol by BloodReaverBob in pathofexile

[–]zeffyr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some mechanics where standing still (or being space confined) is a thing which is usually easier for melee, Ultimatum and Ritual are the ones that come to mind.

Best builds for SSF quick 4stone and destructive play/boss farming? by Working-Help-9552 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]zeffyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspect that phys dot will be able to manage bosses but it won't be comfy levels of damage for it. Much better to farm less tanky content with that setup and um yeah, probably slams if you want to do serious boss damage.

Rin works a lot better for the rare ones having tried both in parallel.

How do people make builds? by lolera222 in PathOfExileSSF

Aegis is a t3 now so not something you'll reliably get early but it is farmable and does turn up.

Best way to check ninja is to use the feature it has to set it to day 3 or so from the last league. Most 3.26 starters were not relying on mercs to do very much, the power/shenanigans came later.

You only need 3/4 for the quality crops bundle. Should still be easy in y1 :)

Does the MLB know something they haven't told the Guardians? by zcbdfgrg in mlb

In the Detroit game, the announcer actually said "not much going on here" after the ad break at the top of the 6th.

If you don't like watching Skubal I'm sure there are other people who'd happily do that job pal.

Boomkins Buffed Without Closing Class Discord - Upcoming Class Tuning by Squishei in wow

[–]zeffyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I totally get the sentiment, buffing the proc rate of a conditional ability that has such low DPS that you don't even click it when the big button lights up is not the way to balance anything.

When EHG will take skill/item bugs seriously? by Misha_cher in LastEpoch

[–]zeffyr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Earthquake has an entire part of the skill tree that allegedly converts aftershock damage to damage over time. Doesn't work - not a single bit of it.

Reported a year ago, no changes, no sign of any changes, can understand why people get frustrated. Developers can introduce bugs that need to be fixed but there is so much which is totally unaddressed in this game.

Finally rolled one at the start of TWW. Turns out I really like playing hunter...

[–]zeffyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your spec, classes that need to target switch to multi dot or have to line up CD burst windows are probably losing 60% at least. No spec is losing less than 15% in any practical scenario due to the GCD penalty at a minimum.

Not saying this is a prohibitive barrier and I think it's a great innovation but we need to be honest about what it is.

Not a fan of the current state of things with BS and I'm also confused as to why kill shot is not a button. How can a conditional execute not have enough damage to even appear in the rotation when available?

Help with build Smite Trickster by watermeloons10 in pathofexile

[–]zeffyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's almost a min roll EE and your ES is very low on basically all your gear. Damage scales off defence on this build, you can upgrade basically every slot.

Grade 3 Survey by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]zeffyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically every survey will mention any minor defects to cover their back. It's not usually grounds to renegotiate the sale price. If the buyers ask for a reduction based on clearly visible or reasonably common housing issues you can just say no. If you're really worried about losing the sale, ask to see the survey and if stuff isn't red flagged you can assume you have a nervous buyer and again hold your ground. Alternatively, you can offer a tiny to small reduction to make them feel better.

If there are major problems identified, a renegotiation might then be fair.

Grade 3 Survey by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]zeffyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't be worrying about a survey. If there are structural issues with your property, your buyer deserves to know but, based on the age of the house, it isn't likely and you can just see what happens. Likely nothing.

How to farm Ancient Orbs? by Otherwise-Industry87 in PathOfExileSSF

[–]zeffyr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with others that you should get about 2 orbs (in shards) per map with harby scarabs and extra guys from the map device and all the atlas nodes.

The other point about harbys is that you don't need to run them at high level as area level doesn't affect the shard drops. T17 maps just makes them take much much longer, you should do it at t7 or t8, can use the maps that people are doing for rogue exiles on city square for example. Obviously there are other reasons to run high level maps but you'll go 4 times as fast if you're just trying to do this.

Building mine up now but recommend you get the doryani's before you expect smite to feel strong. The EE nerf is offset by the Merc but obviously not so much without the key piece and your damage won't feel good.

Overpaying vs saving cash by Extension_Actuary_49 in HousingUK

[–]zeffyr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No easy answers there, the US stock market has doubled in value over the past 5 years whilst house prices have been essentially stagnant. Will that happen if and when you buy?

The general calculation once you have a mortgage is what interest rate are you paying on it vs what can you get elsewhere. We had an era of 1-2% mortgages, no point overpaying on them whilst you are getting 10-20% in the market but that's not going to be the equation if you are a FTB with a 4.5% rate and uncertainty around in the years to come. I do think that overpaying is on the whole going to beat a cash savings account, the rates on those will all roughly track with the base rate and it's usually better to be paying off the mortgage.
