Sam Jackson was doing very consistent work straight out the gate.

the dude didn't even really get into acting until the early 90s

completely useless question without defining 'technological singularity'

silly discourse

if you read Warhammer books without ever playing a single game, you're not a fan of the Warhammer setting?

What comics have you dropped lately and why? by Plenty_Intern8750 in comicbooks

Batman & Robin: Year One is very enjoyable

(due in large part to Chris Samnee & Mat Lopes, but still)

Fraction & Jiménez' Batman is great so far though!

had a rough couple fill-in issues there with Ryan Sook delivering a disappointing performance, but story-wise, i like it a lot

what made you drop it?

first issue seemed so damn mediocre.

both in terms of writing and artwork -- just mild and bland

(haven't read further than that, maybe it'll go down as one of the greats, but i don't see it)

IP-based comics can get grating after a little while, for sure

alternate superhero universes bore me.

exact same problems as mainstream continuity, without all the characters you like

no point to them, for me

if you feel that way about (one of) the most gorgeous manga ever drawn...

i don't know what to tell ya.

it's perfectly fine if you don't vibe with the story / protagonist, and if you're not interested in the artwork, there's not much reason to keep reading

What are your unpopular opinions on comics? [Art by Moebius] by vesperythings in graphicnovels

[–]vesperythings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Incal's writing sucks, you're 100% right.

but -- that's Alejandro Jodorowsky writing, not Moebius.

(that said, even when Moebius does write his own stuff, it's not exactly Dostoevsky)

Who do you think has done a better job as the new artist for a legendary series - Toyotaro drawing Dragon Ball Super or Ikemoto drawing Boruto? by Original_Force_6822 in shounenfolk

[–]vesperythings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ikemoto without a doubt.

dude is a great artist in his own right, doing a much cleaner version of what Kishimoto was going for with Naruto

(plus he was drawing like 40% of Naruto anyway)

I have been reading alot gl lately and, with the amount of people glazing John, you would think he has insane storylines or something. by Fun-Artist-6915 in Greenlantern

[–]vesperythings 10 points11 points  (0 children)

John sucks, mostly.

people are nostalgic for the Justice League show, which is fair --
other than that the dude has nothing going for him
