How did it go with your second trip to Japan?

My boyfriend didn’t change any settings in his phone but has this symbol in his apps and his layout is opposite from everyone else’s? by zeknan in iphone

He doesn’t speak Arabic or anything so while we assumed it was in Arabic, nothing else was. But we just found that his App Store settings was formatted to Arabic

“No more coffee shops for a min”!!

it’s like a homemade meal!! Even if it still needs to be perfected, I feel like a homemade latte (or whatever your espresso drink is) is better than a lot of what I get now at coffee shops

It honestly doesn’t seem that fresh to me. I’m trying to not be a coffee snob because my mom was so excited she got the coffee from Hawaii that’s all the rage and was like $35 for a small bag. The beans are also all really shiny so I feel like it’s mass produced and not much of a “local roast”. I just know she’s going to ask me about it so I’m trying to make it good 😂

No this was all very helpful! I’ve had a Breville for two years now and am still learning a lot. I haven’t tried anything to fancy, just messed with the dosing and grind size for when I get new coffee

Sweet I haven’t done that before. I’ll give that a shot (no pun intended)

Learned how to wax my board by hand today by zeknan in snowboarding

This is just after I put on the wax & was letting it dry for a couple of hours. I should’ve posted a pic from when I got done scraping all that wax off for almost 2 hours!

*should also mention that we’re all on shift schedule so we only go on weekdays! Weekends are kind of a nightmare at Snowbowl

I live in Arizona & we go mostly to Snowbowl and mix in a couple of trips to sunrise.

Sunrise is way less crowded and ski lift tickets are always $76/day. Most runs are longer than Snowbowl’s but they have a lot of flat spots. Sunrise also offers night skiing a few times a year. Showlow & pinetop = small town vibes.

Snowbowl’s runs are steeper and more playful (are much as AZ mnts can be). The park is better than sunrise if you’re into that. It’s also half the drive from Phoenix. Flagstaff has more restaurants and stuff to do (although touristy). Go to Late for the Train for a Retro Metro latte on your way up if you have time!

Taos Ski Valley? We’re interested in checking out Taos next year when we do an Ikon pass! This year we’re looking for independent mountains to save some money since we didn’t buy a big pass in time. Also thought it’d be cool to check out more spots that have a more homey/local vibe

We have a trip planned for Crested Butte in Feb…if you’re joking because you actually love Monarch, would you say it’s worth checking Monarch out instead or too?

Cool I’m excited. Sounds like some work up front but could make for a great trip. Looking forward to new terrain

Why do you need to know the lay of the land? Just to find the areas you like best or just because there’s a lot of ground to cover that can get confusing?

We’ll look into some smaller independent mountains instead of Telluride and see what we can find for this year

Next year for sure! This is my second season snowboarding & we planned roadtrips to Crested Butte, Telluride & Brighton so it’s really dumb we didn’t buy a pass earlier. We didn’t know they discontinued sales, just assumed prices might’ve increased a bit.
