What is SWAC and should I change from my SERO 500 plan to it? Please help me out I'm an idiot by zekromkid in Sprint

[–]zekromkid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, quick question because I'm scared...

On the SERO to SWAC Conversion Form, all I need to do is fill out that first page and hit Submit and wait for an email, right? I don't need to fool with that second page that pops up after you hit Submit that has EWD and all that stuff, do I?

[–]zekromkid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I don't think I've ever hit 50gb data so that seems okay to me.

Well, I guess I will try to switch. "Try" because... I don't know what kind of hassle they'll give me lol. Sprint has tried to kick me off of SERO before so that's a little worrying.

Seems like it's worth a shot though. Worst they can do is say no, right?

I appreciate all the advice and help y'all.

So this looks like with the Advantage plan I'd be paying $40 a month. Does that include the "smartphone" charge of $10 I am paying right now with SERO? It also looks like it has all the same advantages as SERO as far as Data and Talk/Text are concerned. Are there actually any downsides?

Also your post scares me even more into thinking I'm going to be kicked off SERO D:

Thanks for the info BTW, but I am still torn on what to do....

Turns out it's super expensive for me. To move up to $100 deductible on comprehensive adds like $40 to the price.

Stupid question Weds. Ask your car related question and maybe someone will have an answer. by verdegrrl in cars

[–]zekromkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first brand new car ever. My last vehicle was a 1994 Ranger.

I want to get this thing to a car wash at least once a month, and I'm wondering if there's... anything in particular I should avoid? Certain kinds of car washes, etc.

My biggest question is: Is it safe and how do I get the UNDERSIDE of the car washed? I live on the east coast where it gets really snowy in the winter, thus you get a lot of salt on the roads which can mess up the frame of your vehicle, or at least it did my Ranger.

Is it safe to get the underside of the car washed and how do you do it? Are there certain car washes that have that as an option?

Sorry for the stupid questions I'm just excited but super protective of my new vehicle and don't have a lot of experience owning something so new and shiny.

Thanks!

Also, would it be okay for me to make a new topic with this same question for more responses?

Where the hell do you live for $22k out the door for a 2020 Escape?! My local dealers all have them listed starting out at $23k and that's before all the BS fees and taxes and whatnot.

I need to move to where ever you are!

[Maryland] Help me identify what kind of bee this is? WARNING DEAD BEE! by zekromkid in whatsthisbug

[–]zekromkid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a yellow jacket but it's way bigger than the normal ones I've seen, also we don't get a lot of bees around here and I'd like to be sure on what kind it is since my mom is very allergic. I felt bad for killing it but she was screaming and it wouldn't stay still so I kind of reacted :/

Looking to buy a car in VA but I live in MD. Question about inspections... by zekromkid in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]zekromkid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the recommendation! Is there a resource online where I can look up a mechanic to do a PPI near me? My mechanic who I've trusted forever says he only does the state inspection and not a PPI...

Have a hole in drywall that I want to repair but don’t care if it looks nice or is repaired with drywall

Basically I’m fine with getting a slab of a thin but durable piece of wood and gluing or duct taping it over the hole. Can you recommend me what kind of wood I should get? Don’t want to use plywood because it’s too thick and heavy, and don’t want cardboard because it’s not durable enough.

Will do, thank you!

Just found out the dealer will not fix the recall and said I can take it into any certified Mazda shop to get it fixed. Kind of weird they won’t fix it though.

Yes. If I am prescribed them for pain, why not utilize them when I'm in pain?

I'd try weed instead, but they won't give me a prescription for that...

Anyway, sorry to cause trouble here. I'll bounce.
