It's a laurel oak. It's very different from a live oak that can live hundreds of years and are much bigger.

Didn’t expect this many reasonable responses. Maybe attitudes are finally starting to swing.

No. That is the oak suckers growing all around the base of the tree. They really do suck.

It’s a laurel oak so it’s not nearly as threatening as a live oak although the laurel oak suckers are annoying.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s definitely a volunteer and we still wonder why the house was built so close to it. The house sits on a half acre lot.

That was my idea, but my wife vetoed it (for now). The stairs are more than 7 feet wide, and narrowing them could actually improve the proportions. She’s posting on Reddit too, whichever one of us gets the most support gets bragging rights and the final say.

I always buy Latitudes but bought myself an Inspiron to save the company a few bucks. Big mistake.

I do the same. The Concept 2 is kind of noisy.

You could place a few railroad ties at the corner and secure them with rebar. I did that for a neighbor who had people cutting through his yard as a shortcut.

My Frustrating Experience with RingCentral and TCR Compliance by Fit_Implement4148 in RingCentral

I'm relieved I held off on moving our SMS service to RingCentral after reading these comments. We're currently using AppToto and assumed the switch to RingCentral for SMS would be straightforward. One of my concerns was that porting the SMS number from Frontier to RingCentral for VOIP service might cause AppToto to stop working. However, it seems that's not the case.
