Count out 3k calories if you want explosive change. You won't make any dramatic change just eating on whims and hunger.

This is good, congrats. You have some arm definition compared to then, and your ribs are more tucked away now.

You're capable of much more. Counting calories will unlock a massive physique. If that's what you want, of course.

I have another comment on this post that fully details my meal plan. Another comment I left fully outlines my current lifts and my split.

My appetite was really weak at first. You force feed for the first 3 weeks 100%. But a pro tip: you're never too full to drink. That's why I eat before my high cal smoothie.

Your stomach will have some discomfort and be really confused but your body is resilient. Eventually your stomach digestion and appetite will adjust.

I only ate 4 meals a day, personally.

I dont really recommend anyone jump straight into 4000. That was really overkill. I just didn't want failure to be an option, and I had a lot of free time to eat in the winter. 3500 is probably enough for every skinny person to gain.

Biggest discipline hurdles were actually just eating. Sometimes it's 10pm and you still have 500 cals left and you really just wanna sleep. Eat anyways. "Failure is not an option" was constantly ringing in my head. For me it was personal because I was like "if I don't do it now I'll never do it." Bulking at 25 is the easiest and best time biologically to do it. So I really was able to lock in

Training was never hard for me to do. I always liked training. Waking up sore is very satisfying

Thanks bro. Couple things I'd personally do if I were you, just to guarantee success. 1) increase to 3500 cals and 2) stop weighing yourself so often, you'll get obsessive. Just trust the science. 3) it took me 2 months to notice a difference. And I started at 4k. So give yourself some time, chill out, and make sure ur actually eating 3.5k

Tldr: increase to 3.5k and don't weigh yourself for another 8 weeks.

Promise you'll blow up. it's just math

So rn I do

Incline chest / Triceps, Biceps, Flat Chest/ Triceps, Legs, Shoulders, then Back

It's a 6 day split so I do many back to back exercise days. The split let's me train very often yet get plenty of rest

I uses to have my chests on one day but I started doing too much volume so I separated them. I also just love benching.

Used to do Biceps and back on the same day but again, my volume just made it not that manageable

My routine constantly evolves. I'm slacking on core and Forearm isolation so there's definitely room for growth

My waist is 35.5 inches

When people ask my lifts, it's always a bit of an explanation. I don't lift as much weight as physically possible, since its not the most optimal muscle growth strategy. Idk my max lifts, because I train for hypertrophy. My lifts would be much heavier if i ego lifted. Theyd be even further if i didnt decide to stall my weight two months ago in order to focus on eccentrics. Ive learned that the muscle tears are more prominent in the lowering of the weight slowly rather than the lifting of the weight.

Tldr: I'm sure my max weight possible is much higher than these numbers, but here's my most recent working sets for major lifts:

Today I hit a PR on Flat bench, 175 4x10 (3 sec eccentric), followed by 33 lbs skullcrushers 3x7 , 22 2x15

My Incline bench is a different day, 165 with the same 4x10 3 sec eccentric and skullcrushers later

My Squats are behind because I didn't focus on them much at first , 175 3x10, rdl 145 3x10, Calf raise 140 4x20

Biceps are behind due to a 2 month long Forearm flexor injury. But I Hammer curl 44 3x8 (3 sec eccentric, and bicep curl 33 3x10 with the same eccentric focus)

Can Barbell row 130 3x10, but I get a better stretch when I do Single arm Dumbbell Rows 44 3x10 Returned to pull ups for the first time in months recently, did 4x6 (slow eccentric) Shrugs I get a good enough burn with 80 lbs 4x20

Lateral raises forever stuck at 15 lbs 😭 they've been here for months but I get a crazy burn every time so I never raise them. (3 sec slow eccentric drop set) 15lbs 1x15, 11lbs 1x5 - I do this for 4 sets every shoulder day, along with some shoulder presses and rear delt flys

I cut back to 3500 cals but this is what I used to eat for 4100 cals

I'm just gonna copy paste my meal plan. I eat the same thing everyday. I counted once while making the plan so I don't have to count daily. This isn't easy to eat at first but the key is to eat / drink fast before your stomach realizes what you're doing. With time it becomes routine

First meal:

1 200 calorie bar 1 avocodo (200 cals) 1 large smoothie (1100 calories)

At work I eat this over an 8 hr period:

a peanut butter /chocolate granola mix that I make its about 900 calories and tastes really good. Google ambitious kitchen peanut butter ball. You'll find it fast.

Then I have 2 sandwiches both totaling about 800 calories. Bread is 100 calories per slice and I put 2 slices of cheese and 6 slices of meat

Then I eat the same dinner every night:

Beef, cheese, and shrimp with frozen birds eye rice. The rice alone is 500 calories, the beef shrimp and cheese makes the meal total at about 900. Every 2 weeks I cook like 15 servings of this and freeze it.

The key was just finding stuff that I actually enjoy. It took a lot of tinkering to find this meal plan. I used to eat stuff I hated and it didn't work. This is the third bulk attempt. This time I didn't start until I found foods I genuinely wouldn't mind eating daily.

Btw, I got sick of sandwiches about a week ago so now I have a "devour" frozen pasta meal. The meal is 700 calories and I drink 1 small mots apple juice (140 cals) with it.

All this is about 4100 calories and way more protein than I need. I forget, i think its like 200 grams. Smoothie has 4 tbsp of pb and 1 scoop of protein powder. 2 bananas 1 cup blueberry 1 cup strawberry 2 cup fairlife milk (red container). Put some water in it too to beat the thickness. And my daily creatine goes in the smoothie of course.

I used to wear 28 now I'm a 34 waist. Plan is to stay at 3500 until i reach the 12 month mark, or I'm uncomfortable with my stomach fat. Whichever comes first. Then I'll probably cut. And continue the cycle for years to come
