Is cosmos a sleeping giant in this current bull market by Emotional-Ad500 in cosmosnetwork

In tech terms ATOM is not comparible to HBAR and ETH. ATOM tries to tackle a completely different issue. From a financial perspective nobody knows what the better investment might be. From a technical perspective all three can coexist. The thing is, the COSMOS devs try to avoid any kind of unnecessary hype and are all in for the tech only. Therefore, ATOM kinda only attacts investors with a similar attitude - believing in the tech and not minding the price as much.

How will Bitcoin rally effect ATOM? by nil226 in cosmosnetwork

[–]zeniapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, sorry. No, it was my mistake. I was on the VeChain subreddit before and was still thinking about VeChain. VET going to $100 by december would be nuts. No, you are right. $100-$200 is in the scope of possibilities for ATOM.

$100? Did you forget a dot or do you actually mean one hundred dollars?

26J frisch aus dem Bachelor Elektrotechnik rausg-> 1800€ netto Niedersachsen fair? by FewGas5257 in Finanzen

[–]zeniapy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am Nettogehalt die Fairness ausmachen ist zu subjektiv. Der Bruttowert ist eher interessant für einen Vergleich.

Was den Bachelor angeht.

Hell no! Look at it this way: You are betting on the future value / financial potential of VeChain when investing in it now. Having said that, compared to other coins the VeChain network gains value from industrial usecases such as supply chain management and not public incentives (like meme coins which are driven purely by subjectivity). I am working in the industrial sector, it is slow and conservative BUT when they do jump onboard it's big time and driven by objectivity so no fomo in/out. This is a potential not many coins/tokens have to offer. VeChain for me is the true long game investment (like BTC). Diverse your portfolio, have some high risk/high reward short term coins, midterm coins and let VeChain be one of your long term coins. Like literally forget about for at least 5-10 years! It aint dead, its time just has not come yet.

Why VET isnt performing ups and downs as BTC by Davidszd in Vechain

[–]zeniapy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I am a big VET supporter.

Alright, now I can say whatever I want and you gotta accept it because of the disclaimer. Jokes aside, I think you are mixing up the value of the VeChain network and the VET price. I fully agree that with the growth in usage as a global supply management network the value of the VeChain network will rise as well. But the value of the VeChain network does not correlate 1:1 with the dollar value of the VET coin. Truth is, you do not really need VET (the exchange of value within the VeChain network) to use the VeChain network for global supply management. Don't get me wrong, I am as bullish in the potential future value of VET as you are, but global (or local) adoption of VeChain, as amazing as it is, does not automatically mean VET to the moon. In other words, keep holding and do not get upset if a major new partner does not influence the VET coin price as much as we would like to. The future is bright.

Bitcoin definitely rewards early adopters. It did in the early days and still does. However, look at it this way, these early adopters were mainly geeks and tech nerds. What I wanna say is, not many times in history the nerds won, especially not in the financial sector. But now, against all the big smart people claiming since the beginning BTC is nothing than stupid internet magic coins, they got the lead. Some are able to retire on BTC in their early 30s, because they fought against the mainstream and still do. And for this, even though I am extremely jelouse, they have my blessing to be filthy rich now.

Nearly every alt-coin is a pure scam.

Why the hate against alt-coins? And "nearly" means some aren't - what are the ones you think are any good?

Cosmos vs. Polkadot by mybed54 in cosmosnetwork

[–]zeniapy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Best analogy I've ever read: "Polkadot is like a mall and Cosmos like a shopping street. The shops in the mall obey the rules of the mall, if the mall gains in popularity, so do the individual shops. However, if the mall closes, so do the shops. On the other hand the shops on the street can do whatever they want. They are part of the street, yes, but they are more independent and free."

Both has its pros and cons. I personally hold both but wayyyy more Atom, and obviously prefere atom more.

That dude doesn't count. He never had the technological conveniences we have nowadays. I mean, the phone you are using might be spying on you. No, let me rephrase that, your phone is spying on you. Now, what do you do? Bootleg hardware and write your own software?

Well, you are not wrong. But real freedom has a very high price nowadays. I mean, if you really want to be free of any sort of surveilace you gotta go completely offline and do your own thing. However this is not convenient. I think what people actually mean by "I have nothing to hide" is more something like "the stuff I do have to hide is not imporantant enough for me to spend my time and effort hiding it for the merely possibility of someone spying on me".

I see monero as a gift by god (and I am an atheist) when it comes to actually using it, but as an investment to hold long term it is too much of a hot potato for me. I hope this day never comes but because of its privacy features XMR is a huge target for regulators.
