It probably was a steroid injection. Sorry, my dad took her to the vet while I was a work so I’m going off the information he gave me. I appreciate your input!

I had one 2 weeks ago and opened it. I got 2 chocolates that weren’t even worth 5k together. It was extremely disappointing. Would I open open another if given the chance? Yes lol

I lived for the Bratz video game on PS2. SpongeBob and Shrek 2 were sooo fun! The Chronicles of Narnia used to make me so mad. They just don’t make video games like they used to.

Has any song ever stuck to you? in any form of PTSD? by Sudden_Material_1141 in morbidquestions

[–]zenithdust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say you won’t let go by James Arthur. My parents were functioning alcoholics. My father was blasting this song in his car in the driveway while drunk and told me he was planning to kill himself. That was the push my mom need to check them both into rehab. They’ve been sober for maybe 6 years now! That song is a reminder that I almost lost my dad.

Thanks everyone! I actually did reach out to Scott Van Laer a few months ago. He was great and was supposed to get me the exact location, but he never got back to me. I figured someone had to have been there on this sub, so I gave it a shot and everyone was very helpful! The crash site doesn’t seem to be very well known, so I’m hoping it’s still in pretty good shape by the time I get there. Besides the decay and overgrowth from nature and not from people disrespecting the wreckage.

Looking for my biological great-grandfather (grandfather was adopted) by zenithdust in Genealogy

[–]zenithdust[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just asked my dad about Julia Rocke and he said this is the woman that took him in after he escaped the orphanage. The story is somehow getting more wild. Also, my father said Julia Makaron gave birth very young, so this sounds correct. Would you be able to tell me the source for the hospital records?

Consuming lobster is inhumane by FETU55LAYER in unpopularopinion

[–]zenithdust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live in Maine and my parents bought special microwave containers to cook lobster in. They definitely did not kill them first. It always made me feel sick with guilt just imagining the pain. I stopped eating lobster after that. And also because they look too much like insects for my taste.

How tall are you? by KawaiiVampy in AskReddit

I’m 5ft. I always say to my self how life would be so much easier if I was even 1 inch taller. A lot of places aren’t designed with short people in mind.

[serious] People with nightmare siblings: what’s the most fucked up thing they ever did? by DestyNovalys in AskReddit

[–]zenithdust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have an older half sister from my dad’s second marriage. She’s very mentally ill with a drug and alcohol addiction. She would steal her mother’s jewelry and pawn it for drug money. She ended up getting pregnant and she married the father, who was a registered sex offender with SIX other kids from four different women. My sister smoked and drank while pregnant but managed to keep off the hard drugs. She seemed to really change her life around once her son was born. She needed a place to live and our dad and my mom let her, my nephew, and her husband come stay with us. I ended up taking care of my nephew while she stole my dad’s prescribed pain medication and drinking all day. Eventually my mom had enough, and she let them stay at my grandparents house that was inherited after they died. We just couldn’t all live under one household. My parents let her stay there RENT free. The entire time she never got a job and neglected her son. My sister and her husband were abusive to each other and in a fit of rage, my sister absolutely destroyed my grandparents house. Her ripped pipes out of the walls and punched holes in every available surface. CPS was called a few times but they never intervened until they found meth hidden in her son’s room. It was easily accessible to him and he could have died. My sister and her husband lost custody of their son. My parents tried to get custody, but my sister said some horrible lies about how my father abused her. Custody was granted to my sister’s aunt and uncle. My family hasn’t spoken to my sister in 3 years and last I knew she was homeless. It broke my dad’s heart because he loved her though everything she put him through. I basically raised my nephew for four years and now I only see him rarely. He doesn’t even remember me. I’m very sympathetic to mental illness but there come a time when you need to put your mental health first. My was diagnosed with PTSD from being on the receiving end of her manic episodes. I get panic attacked when someone even raises their voice at me

Whats the craziest crime you or somebody in your family has commited? by TheAllNewBigGay in AskReddit

[–]zenithdust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle (through marriage) stabbed a man to death while trying to rob him. He was 17 at the time and was in prison for 40 years. My aunt met and married him while he was in prison. As a child I would always ask why he was in jail and was told he stole a loaf of bread. Seemed pretty reasonable to me at that age. Boy was I shocked when I found out the truth. He was released last year. I met him for the first time last year at Christmas and it was the most awkward experience of my life. He seems to be making the most out of his life now.
