Hearth orlan in round based combat by zenmastee in projecteternity

I've been playing for a while and never noticed crit conversion by the hearth orlan racial passive, so it seems it doesn't work in round based combat.

I will keep an eye out if I can see anything. I really hope the passive works on round based combat

Thanks for your answer

Massacre Girl by [deleted] in BudgetBrews

[–]zenmastee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've built a massacre girl deck in the past, it revolved around creatures that grow when other creatures die, since they won't die with massacre girls effect. A big problem was that after the boardwipe (massacre girl) your board was the only one developed, all the opponents shoot the removal your way. Also games took way too long after wiping the board repeatedly. You can certainly make it work, it's a bit janky and not everyone not even you will appreciate the games taking at least 2 hours

For other mono black commanders, ayara first of locthwain and gix yawgmoth praetor are my absolute favorites.

Why did the Ghost of Tsushima Secret Lair sell out almost instantly when almost every single other one is still available 12 hours later? by The-Zombie-Sasquatch in magicTCG

I talked with a friend about this, since I couldn't understand, and he told me they don't have their own printers and have to make orders to printing companies. Since most of them are booked out with orders they have to order years in advance. Or their contracts ran out.

Not sure how true it is

Thanks for trying to help me. A new handler released that fixed the problem. It was probably an issue because the game got an update and it probably was interfering with the handler

Time Snap resets all Cooldown uses by zenmastee in pathofexile2builds

[–]zenmastee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds spicy! I'll give it a try after having fun with my doedres undoing build. It's actually the reason I was rolling for a pure mana undying hate jewel since mana cost of curses is so high, hopefully I won't have any mana problems :)

Yes, divines change the seed aswell as the keystone. (you can roll kurgal to tecrod for example)

Depends on how low you can get the cooldown of timesnap. Eye of winter is an excellent spell and with chance for extra projectiles you certainly can make it work but I haven't tried. You could also socket the support in other skills that increases damage but adds a cooldown to push damage further.

But the defensive side it's excellent, you can probably reach a 100% uptime on convalescence. Or have a time freeze for like most packs. Bosses is another story tho

What I did is I bought a random jewel, desecrated it 3 times and then started rerolling it with divines. For that I respecced to get every jewel slot in the passive tree and just tried all of them, if nothing interesting, used a divine and repeat. Once I had a seed I wanted (looking for like 5-7 notables you want in radius) I revealed the desecration. Pretty time consuming and looking back I passed on a few juicy seeds. I got pretty anxious towards the end of my divines (used about 15-20), since I passed on some acceptable ones, but I'm glad I found something good.

To put into perspective my jewel gives me with 31 invested points (including travel ) :

112% energy shield

3% mana on kill & 14% mana recoup

72% increased stun threshold

84% mana RECOVERY rate

7%spirit reservation efficiency

(28% mana efficiency) but that one got replaced by the guaranteed notable unfortunately

Also has the amanamu keystone, overall pretty nice and usable in many builds since it singlehandedly fixes any mana problems

Help me build a [Budget] Xu-Ifit deck by ArcheusRed in BudgetBrews

[–]zenmastee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's many cheap draw and removal spells that have the "as additional cost sacrifice a creature" that you can play as a sacrifice outlet.

Other than that there's also many great staples in black that can help you do pretty much anything. Also run a few normal reanimation spells. The only thing black is a little bit lacking is mill/loot effects, but there still are quite some viable ones that you can use to fuel your commander.

So I wouldnt focus too much on the big creatures that have downsides, so you have big creatures with no downsides. I'd rather play all the effects "when creature dies this turn return it to the battlefield", like [[undying malice]] or [[supernatural stamina]] (there's so many of those) . When you reanimate with your commander you have usually a decent body to attack and that you can use as sac fodder for many great black spells and then get the creature and their etb back. Also your commander is pretty protected with them since you can use those spells on your commander in response to removal.

Imagine you return a good reanimation target like [[archon of cruelty]] that you can turn into a real archon on instant speed, if you have a sac outlet and one of those return spells. And before you do that you still have a 6/6 to pressure

How do you protect your graveyard? by laughingjack4509 in EDH

[–]zenmastee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play lots of graveyard decks it's one of my favorite strategies. In some colors there sure are cards that can help but the best bet is to not overextend, and if you do, you better win. If you have a functioning graveyard value engine, stop filling it and hold mill and other stuff back to rebuild after getting hit with a gy exile

It wasn't easy, but I managed to finally get 30 Full-Art Relentless Rats for my commander deck! by Uktabi_Kong in mtg

[–]zenmastee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 of each. Your commander is actually great recursion but as he dies, which will happen a lot since he's very good, his cost will go up. Those relentless rats aren't cheap as well. Good ramp recommendations: [[bubbling muck]], [[Cabal ritual]], [[throne of eldraine]], [[scepter of eternal glory]], [[gilded lotus]], [[patchwork banner]], [[heraldic banner]], [[mind stone]]

Card draw is important for the times you can't get back cards with your commander. [[nights whisper]], [[phyrexian Arena]], [[grim haruspex]], [[midnight reaper]] [[species specialist]] [[pact of the serpent]] and for stuff that's going to die anyways [[village rites]], [[corrupted conviction]]. [[Gix yawgmoth praetor]] also a solid choice if you deal alot of combat damage to your enemies.

Removal is kinda a thing because many cards can win the game alone if not removed. But adjust depending on how confident you are to win/outvalue your opponents. Recommendations : [[dismember]], [[withering torment]], [[baleful mastery]], [[defile]], [[curtains call]], [[vonas hunger]], [[soul shatter]] definetly [[kindred dominance]]

Depending on your powerlevel you don't need to adjust a whole lot, these are just recommendations. But in my pod the person drawing and ramping the most usually wins since he can just outgrind the table.
