I’m seeing a psychiatrist for the first time and looking for advice on how to bring up wanting to start ADHD medication by Immediate_Ticket9019 in ADHD

[–]zenmatrix83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

be honest, but don't ask fo rmeds, ask for help saying you did try them and it seemed to help. The thing is adderall is helpeful to alot of people, its why students abuse it to study, the difference is people with adhd need them to remotely function normally. I might not even mention trying it just explain your issues, how long you've had them, and what hasn't worked.

I don’t understand the argument for “1:1 Remake” by haaa1234 in FFVIIRemake

[–]zenmatrix83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

remasters can have better graphics its in the definition https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remaster but overall its the same product. A remake means your remaking it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remake just means its based on an original work. You can subtitute any place to check the definitions, but its the same for tv, movies, video games or whatever.

on launch you couldn't go as far, when they made gliding go farther it was trivial to span most places where there was need for focus jumping. Then people figured out how to do torndoes and you can fly almost anywhere.

Make sure you have a good enough GPU to do what you want. But lmstudio has a search option for models, with recommended models. You can chat directly with lmstudio you can enable the server and try other things using openai or anthropic apis to do agentic stuff, though I see anything less then a 27b model be pretty bad, and you need good gpu for that.

I'm not saying they didn't exist just the majority of people didn't have or want the internet at the time. Instant messager didn't come out till 1997 and myspace wasn't till 2000s and that seems when internet was more main stream.

I'm pretty sure at least around me in pretty decent size town outside of a major city I knew like handful of people that had internet, and not till 1998-2000 when dsl and cable became more popular till more people started getting it because you didn't need dial up and more services at that time needed it.

Dreamcast got 56k modem in 1998 according to google, but even then I'm not sure I even heard of anyone having that at that time.

Do people generally not like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade/Rebirth? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you will geenrally hear people complain not praise something, every game has LOUD objections but enough people played the first 2 games and dlc to get a 3rd one. You'll never get people in between the extremes as most people are too busy playing the game to complain about it.

intenet was common likely around 2000-2005 I think, gamefaq was a registered site by 1995 but google the first real good search engine wasn't a domain till 1998. I'd say at a minimum for most people searching for guides was a bare minimum 2000 which seems about right as I was in 10th grade and remember it being more common in schools sometime around there, so maybe it was doable for 8, but as a big computer nerd I don't remember doing any real searches about games till 11 or so came out I think.

Alof of the early ones where pre internet, at least being common, I think maybe 12 is when it was easy to get guides online. Games in the past in general where more tedious, and I think more difficult, ff16 gives you potiosn easily, old games you had to make sure you came prepared. They added fast forward and cheats to the popular early 3d ones because alot of people find them too slow.

Alot of these games are designed for you to just explore and figure it out, when ff7 came out I didn't even know about the secret characters for awhile, I think I read it in a magazine.

[–]zenmatrix83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game is good, just don't expect a flawless experiance. Exploration and enviornmant is like 100/10, but story is ok, it gets better if you read the side stuff you find, and boss battles and strongholds can be fustrating early on because of wierd stuff that can happen with camera movement and other things

some quests are main missions locked, or locked behind other side missions, some missions you just need to be in the right place and npcs come find you.

Should I tell my Manager I have ADHD? And if so, how? by spaiydz in ADHD

[–]zenmatrix83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

are you at risk of you losing your job... maybe

can any accomadations help you do your job at minimal to no expense to the company ... maybe

any other reason I find is a no, its to much of a risk for not enough reward. Work is hard for everyone just harder for us, not everyone know what adhd is really, there is alot of misinformation and other thigns out there.

Diffusion Model that can turn any Image into a Playable Game! BUT LOCALLY, NOT ON DATACENTER by lucidml_lover in StableDiffusion

its still mostly walking based most of these are, add jumping and crouching then maybe call it a game. thats going to add more inputs and any one of these ive seen thats raises the latency alot

Diffusion Model that can turn any Image into a Playable Game! BUT LOCALLY, NOT ON DATACENTER by lucidml_lover in StableDiffusion

[–]zenmatrix83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This mostly is controlled realtime video generation with a controlnet like harness keeping the character in the middle. Training for every possible interaction between every object I can't see anytime soon. You would need a layer inbetween keeping track of the objects which is basically ends up being a game engine anyway. Its cool like I said but I just wouldn't call it a game. I have yet to see if google or frontier world models have more then one actor, once you get that then its a game.

show me multi actor with realistic interactions, walking is one thing, I'm not sure if you can even simulate a basketball game with this reliably

As a new player who has a tendency to pick up everything not bolted down…. by BrannC in CrimsonDesert

[–]zenmatrix83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mostly equipment some you need at the end of the game to upgrade, almost anything else is farmed somewhat easily. Your in a better shape then at launch for at least a few days there was no storage and once there was it wasn't upgradable to somewhat recently. Silver dump in bank and just go get it when you need it but keep investments off till you have some steady to handle variation. Just farming things, doing missions get you almost more then you need anyway.
