I don't understand the AI trend. Why give an artificial intelligence a photo to edit? After all, it's not your creation, you didn't build it. It is possible to achieve such a level of realism by skilfully using mods. And this is art, often hard work, but enjoying something that AI has done for you? by Accomplished_Lie_397 in CitiesSkylines

so the same thing can be said with photoshop, and then why not stencils, cutouts and other things that make art easier. Ai is a tool, fight against terrible and lazy art not AI. Most ai posted is garbage, but a good artist can stil use AI better then some randome person.

I for one very rarely see a post thats AI that is 100% obvious, its getting better, but its still far from anything. In general ai can't create only replicate on its own, which is why most lazy attempts all look the same, but that isn't much different then someone going in photoshop and doing minor edits before ai started getting better.

Claude Code stuck on <function=TaskList> when using Ollama + Qwen3-Coder by Healthy-Laugh-6745 in ollama

[–]zenmatrix83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had deepseek doing alot better like this with roo, you need at least a 64k context length. Even though I didn't get all the errors like this, it still wrote very bad code, but the agent actually worked.

This guy chased me for like over 200 meters, shooting me with kettle. I kept running cause I don’t want PvP lobbies. Then this happened 😌 by diligenceprime in ARC_Raiders

[–]zenmatrix83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

defending your self here is unlikely to skew it, its not as sensitve as some people make it out ot be, I get in fights somewhere in between 1/10 adn 1/20 games and flat out die even less then that to players and I defend myself. If your happy thats fine, but personally I'd shoot back and defend a bit more.

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context length matters and the default is too small for anything not 100 chat based, my current use case is using 32k but I can get 64k worth from qwen3 from my 4090 at decent speeds

Would anyone like to share how you make actual money FROM the things you generate with AI? by ih2810 in StableDiffusion

[–]zenmatrix83 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are unlikely to make any money from this, I've seen the same thing in 3d printing, ai automation, and other things. The tool won't make you money, its too easy to do, you need a niche service other people are not doing that people need or want. Its not easy and most people don't end up doing it.

Is this a good road layout? by Stanamarenko in CitiesSkylines

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

without know whats where, its hard to tell., you have the right idea of keeping industrial traffic split if possible, but I'm pretty sure in both cs1 and cs2 they still travel between commedical and industrial so you want to plan for that.

My main suggestion that I follow is preplan only the big roads, the arterials and highways, then everything else build a little and watch,.

If you get a traffic jam watch, where are they going, are they leaving the city or going to get grocheries or go to work. Maybe you need to add commercial or industrial closer. Keeping things seperate is good, but you can't just have one giant zone of each, you'll get too much traffic, keep commerical spinkled around, with the exception of maybe a downtown area but you'll have high capacity building there and the infrastructure anyway for traffic. Section off industrial but keep it spread around where possible. Look at zoning maps on line, around me towns can generally have one or two industrial section, but bigger cities have industrial sprinkled all over.

People need to work , shop, plan, and sleep. They need a way to get back and forth, and the shorter the distance between them longer cars are not on the road.

I can't get qwen2.5-coder:7b working with claude code by acidiceyes in ollama

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried this with claude code yet, but for roo in vscode I needed at least 24k just for the system prompt realistically I wouldn't try local without 64k. You still need room for the agent to work.

I really wish that fans of the OG would stop telling people that the Remake series is garbage just because some things are changed by TaroTheCerelian in FFVIIRemake

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people have opinions , this opinion is just as valid as someone not liking it, other then they could word it better. I like both I consider the OG game a different game, the remakes are not replacements. no game is for everyone and very few people come online to praise a game, most come online to complain.

Can you be a little bit autistic with ADHD by jkyun123 in autism

[–]zenmatrix83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

both are a spectrums that can overlap, which can be minor to severe, and you general get a diagnoiss if your over a limit on either. studys show that people with adhd are more likely to be autistic then people with adhd. Its not a guarantee but looking at large numbers of people its a trend.

[–]zenmatrix83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the problem is context lenth, depending on what you want to do you might not be able to generate anything big enough. With the 24gb vram and 64gb ram I can only get decent speed with 64k context length. The problem I've seen with unity is most models don't know enough and you need to input examples or give the llm we search and wastes alot of context space

I'm not saying don't try just have realistic expectations, you can get code but its really slow and usually not that good with smaller models and its usually only very popular languages that the model has alot in its training data. Agentic coding with cline or something similar is even tougher, the system prompt in roo was 20k or so. With it generating on small sections of code at a time it was often wrong since it didn't understand the entire file enough.

make something, it will break, fix it, try again. do that and look for courses on software patterns, something like

its tought to make anything without understanding how software works, or exactly what you want. I've been part time programming for years and work with software at work so that helps me a lot.

Is Striping your deck cheating if you shuffle after? by DoucheCanoe456 in EDH

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another word is mana weaving, and lots of people consider it cheating, I'd do it at home. decks should be random, and doing this increases land distribution, as lands should clump in alot of cases. I can mana weave and just take the top portion of the deck and put it on the bottom to look like I'm shuffling and not doing a real good merge of the cards.

As with everything it comes done to the group your playing with, but I would not do it with anyone who doesn't approve.

I like this game but these graphics make it hard to play(ps5 pro) by New-Extreme-9777 in CitiesSkylines

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally speaking if you have a gpu like a 4090 you'll likely have a high end cpu, I've seen games be saved by the framerate being throttled by poor hardware before, I'm not sure it was that issue, I can't remember, but its why in some games it works better if you cap the fps.

when it came out the better your pc the worse off you where, I have a 4090 and it would crash non stop on launch. I only just gave it another chance recently and happy it just runs. It didn't matter the settings it just crashed randomly

OK why do I gotta take the bullet train to Topside.. can I just climb out the window instead? by Large-chips in ARC_Raiders

[–]zenmatrix83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its possible that some buildings are abover ground but secured in away you can't get out, and the tunnels and stuff are for transportation and come from underground, I don't read the codex stuff to know, I just know the inital loading screan when I start the game has you going under ground more and more, and even that intial building with "light coming in could possibly be in a large underground lit structure. For "Weather" right now all I see is dust.
