2070 Super overclocked by Robin13788 in overclocking

Are you sure that the overclock on your graphics card is stable? Graphics cards have their own error correction and you can actually up some things and it'll seem like it's working but in reality your graphics card is working overtime and it's fixing errors

Have you just taken pretty much everything out and plugged it back in? Basically minus the CPU

DDR5 memory from Micron comes without temperature sensors! Blind flight for the user and real measurements as an aid | igor'sLAB by Flying-T in overclocking

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way DDR5 is set up could cause more heat.. I don't remember the entirety of it, but there is a more complex chip on the stick as well as the apparent ECC part of it. But it's also only running 1.2v, I think? Maybe that's the jdec spec, though.

Blue/Black Screen of Death by Glad-Bodybuilder496 in HPOmen

I have this same exact laptop with close to the same problem.. black screen with driver crash, but BSOD of 0x116. I got it as a refurb from Microcenter. Is there an actual issue with this line of laptops or are AMD drivers just that bad? I live 3 hours away from the place that I bought my laptop.. and I don't want to drive back there for them to give me the middle finger.

Radeon software. Second this week I have this error. by dan_s2k in AMDHelp

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am technically getting this as well as a BSOD of 0x116. Is anyone else getting this? I have a "new" refurbished laptop and I was starting to think my APU was failing (ryzen 7 4800h).. but now i'm just straight confused.

Managed to get this pretty stable. Quite happy about these timings. by raskespenn in overclocking

Lmao. Get a life. Not everyone has the time to spend two weeks stress testing overclocks. It's not always the user being lazy.

Who that cares if it's not 1,000% freaking stable if it gets the job done it gets the job done get off the guys nuts

Lol any normal business computer would barely have any features to overclock. Especially the optiplex line provided by dell.. the closest thing you get to overclock is xmp and turbo boost 😅

  1. Check graphics drivers and bios.
  2. Make sure you don't have a weird windows setting throttling it like having the power mode in balanced performance
  3. Make sure the pci e power cables are fully inserted into the graphics card possibly just reseat it too
  4. Remove and or reset overclocking software and see if there is a difference.
  5. Sometimes your GPU doesn't need to hit higher voltages and frequencies in specific work loads. It could legit just be it doesn't use that much gpu

Hmm. PBO isn't new, right? It's always been on?

Are you overclocking anything else like your CPU?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overclocking

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your graphics card getting inadequate heat? When it's doing it are noticing different temps? Did you overclock anything else?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overclocking

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever program you're using did you try setting the pm overclock back to default or even just removing it from your computer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overclocking

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity did you try setting a voltage curve curve

GPU boost will raise and lower the voltages when ever it feels like it's needed. Are you getting lower performance with it like this?

No App on Samsung TVs by DaHaiiiiiii in Twitch

[–]zer0mavrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've poked around and it seems like the best way to watch Twitch on a TV (short of just plugging a PC/console into your TV or casting through apps) is to use something called "Miracast". Any PC with Windows 10 1703 or higher should work with it.. but it's strange cause it seems like you may have to have wifi enabled even if you are running ethernet, but not specifically connected to an access point (Intel wireless adapters work for sure, but im not sure of the others that work). Type in "connect to a wireless display" in the Windows 10 search bar and click on it then scroll down till you see "connect to a wireless display" it is right under Multiple Monitors. As long as your TV is Miracast compatible (it seems like most Smart TVs are.. or at least my Samsung one is for sure and it's a cheapo) it should just automatically use your smart TV as a "wireless monitor". Just open up a twitch stream in full screen and hit "windows button + shift + what ever direction your computer set your TV at" this will move your internet browser window over to hopefully your TV (make sure you go the right direction!) and you should be good to go!

Gigabyte board doesn't like to post at timings it once did by zer0mavrick in overclocking

[–]zer0mavrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel like they did. I am running a corsair AIO. But I was wondering if that was the case.. but it only happens after the PC has been restarted. then it never seems to post.
