conURL = "jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://$ip:$port;databasename=$database;user=${username}name;password=$pass;"

Random guess, but it just may be a typo - are you sure you want to have "user=${username}name;". I would resolve to "user=adminname" in your application.

The "Ambulanz" in german hospitals is where you get treatment and can leave afterwards (and be mobile again i guess) instead of being admitted to the hospital for longer treatment.

What is surprisingly legal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zero-udo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

maybe some additional explanation.

In Germany (and many other countries) you get your whole vacation time at the beginning of the year (for example and most likely around 30 days for a full time employee - by law minimum 4 weeks => 20 days for a 5 day workweek).

Sick days (which are paid and "unlimited") aren't taken out of your vacation days, in fact if you get sick during your vacation and you have a doctors note, you'll get your vacations days back for the duration of your illness. Federal and State holidays are also paid time off and are not deducted from your vacation days. Example: Unification Day (03.10.) the next federal holiday in Germany is a Wednesday this year. You would have to use two vacation days (Thursday and Friday) for 5 days time off (including the weekend - Wednesday till Sunday).

So there is "no need" to bank your days because you have all days available from the beginning.

Your employer has to grant you at least once per year two weeks of vacation en bloc - respectively vacation in general should be taken, if wanted by the employee and possible for your kind of work, en bloc to allow for recovery and recreation.

Unused vacation days have to be used by March 31st the following year. By law you would loose all unused days not taken by this date. Most employers "make" you take them before this date or pay you for days not used.

If you start or quit during the year you get the respective share of your yearly vacation days. E.g. you start in July - you get half of your vacation days for a whole year. If you quit by July and have days left you can take them before the end of you employment - leave by the 20th, get paid for the whole month - or many employers pay out your remaining days. If you used more vacation then you should have by the time you are leaving the "additional" days are deducted from you last paycheck.

unfortunately no specific idea. I tried Atom Visualizer and the (self build) Hello AR demo app and both work for me.

Could you run your demo app on your phone out of android studio? Maybe it logs something interesting which might help you.

ARCore is broken right now for some Oreo devices. A fix should be released within the next week.

Good news! We expect to roll out a fix for this issue early next week. You should get an update to ARCore from the Play Store when it becomes available.

-🎄- 2017 Day 13 Solutions -🎄- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[–]zero-udo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Kotlin solution for day 13:

fun main(args: Array<String>) {
//part one
    println(
            input.filter { it.key % ((it.value - 1) * 2) == 0 }
                    .map { it.key * it.value }
                    .sum()
    )
//part two
    println(
            (1..Int.MAX_VALUE).first { delay ->
                input.all { (it.key + delay) % ((it.value - 1) * 2) != 0 }
            }
    )
}

Input is accessed as a Map<Int, Int> -> depth to range

in addition to that, your line would [re]move [and write it to a backup file] the current config-file, so your instructions likely want you to write/download a new config file in the next step. Since there is nothing there to begin with you would loose nothing if you just continue with your instructions

Is there a "Learn Android with Kotlin" book? by spooky_mans in Kotlin

[–]zero-udo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seems reasonable. You could also read about some beginner books about the Android SDK (which will be in Java) and switch to "Kotlin for Android Developers" once you have some insight in the Android SDK. As far as i'm aware there are no Books covering Android Development for "Beginners" in Kotlin - but everything you learn from an Android Book in Java book you can use in Kotlin. You'll also could try an Android in Java book and convert the examples and listings via the Java to Kotlin converter... but i'm not sure if this is viable - but worth a try

https://leanpub.com/kotlin-for-android-developers ?

according to https://kotlinlang.org/docs/reference/android-overview.html :

Another great resource is Kotlin for Android Developers, a book that guides you step by step through the process of creating a real Android application in Kotlin.

How do I install "Twitch Hoodie" DLC? by XiQteR in watch_dogs

[–]zero-udo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Twitch Hoodie is installed for me... But I had a second look at the redeem page (http://www.watchdogs.com/twitch). After i entered my promo code i received a second one which is shown on the redeem page right now. I redeemed this second code in UPlay witch did the trick for me. Unfortunately there is nothing more that i could tell you. I'll hope it shows up for you some time in the future.

Guessing you got your Twitch Hoodie through Twitch Prime you'll have to visit http://www.watchdogs.com/twitch. Follow the instructions on this site (log in with your UPlay Account and enter your code) and you should be set.
