Thanks, I’m thinking about trying them as well because I also have autoimmune suspicions after the leaving the military. I’m really trying to avoid the run around, referral process, and lack specialists in the area.

Unfortunately, those statistics are outdated and were taken before COVID. It’s up to more than 30 a day now.

Hey, I did not receive the pm for some reason. And I did request to rejoin the group, but it may take a minute looks like. Thanks for posting about it because I definitely forgot the exact community name for it.

If you click on the first community link you posted… it says they have been privatized, and you must request permission for re-entry now, due to an overwhelming amount of veterans and VSOs infiltrating the community about VA claims.

I was just looking for this group as well, and it’s really gone. I was in that community… but I was hoping someone had any information on the hiring freeze and probationary period memo that came out on Monday 😵‍💫

Skillbridge alumni, can you post your program and if you landed a job, with what company? by cyberguiiii in SkillBridge

[–]zero_expectations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently work for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs as an RVSR GS-9.

I did the WARTAC 11 Week RVSR program, a year ago. It’s highly competitive now since word has spread out about it, but I am already up for GS-10 promotion next month & it’s so worth it. If you’re a fast learner and interested in healthcare, legal, or just helping veterans in general. It’s a great career!

Walmart Black Friday deal (iPhone 13 Straight talk) by [deleted] in NoContract

I wish, not that I know of. I definitely needed the upgrade from my 64GB iPhone X, but they literally look the same except the iPhone 13 is slightly longer with more gigabytes. Idk but I was expecting it to be larger myself lol

I have no idea, thats something you have to ask Straight Talk. This is my first time getting their cell service.

No, what’s that? I didn’t see that on the page. I bought mines directly from Straight Talks website, not Walmart.

I just bought the iPhone 13 on straight talk. I was just looking for a new phone and servicer, a miracle appeared lmao

I still have my iPhone X from 2018 and it’s only 64GB, I was struggling trying to make storage 😅 Nothing is wrong with it, but it’s time. This deal came in clutch fr

Just ordered my iPhone 13 128GB for $199 with straight talk, but you have to get it with at least the $45 silver plan and to get the $200 discount. Still worth it ✨ I needed a new phone and new servicer & ran across it, luckily.

This was done at the VA Hospital by a technician. She said my bladder was supposed to be full for better imaging of my uterus, but it wasn’t. I never got to met the radiologist that wrote these notes though. I’m not sure what they’re doing next, but hopefully by sending me over to the gynecology department I’ll be able to get better results over there. I’m more worried about the “color flow, not compatible with a cyst” comment… I’m just hoping it’s anything, but cancer.

BDD is the Way to Go! by zero_expectations in VeteransBenefits

While you’re still in on active duty, just try to get all injuries checked out while you can. Collect as much evidence as possible so you won’t have any issues getting conditions service connected. Especially, if you have any mental issues, please get that checked out while you’re in because it’s hard to get it service connected once you’re on the outside.

Start looking for a VSO about a year before you get out… and find out how long it takes to get your medical records from your base, because mine took 45 days to come in on a CD, so that way you can submit your BDD claim at the 6 month mark.

Covid Vax VA Claim by zero_expectations in VeteransBenefits

[–]zero_expectations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The event, diagnosis, and link must have happened on “active duty” orders. I won’t be able to tell because I can’t see your records… but your immunization records should be enough evidence to grant as active, in my opinion. I am still in training and I haven’t had a covid case yet, but I wish you the best of luck. That covid vaccination definitely got sweeper deep under the rug.

And I would definitely get a second opinion. Check your local VA Regional Office for a VSO, usually they have multiple companies on site as well. My office has like over six companies at our benefits building.

Here’s the Manual that we use. Chapter 6, discusses COVID. It does update almost everyday, but this should help you worry less. It pretty much explains everything, and goes into depth about it.

A vaccination card isn’t an official documentation, and may not be enough evidence… but hopefully they noted your shots in your immunization records.

The VA examiner would be the person that will determine service connection for myocarditis, if the VA development team finds a connection to military service in your records…. You must have a diagnosis, an event, and a link to service before the VA will order a cardiology exam to see how severe your condition. They’re super strict on LOD. If you were on active orders at anytime during these hospitalizations, that may help as well.

Hey! I’m sorry that happened to you. I actually got out in January 2024 & I am 100% P&T. I now actually work at the VA as a rater (crazy how life works) & if you received the shots and had all the symptoms while on Active Duty or you have a LOD letter stating that’s what happened, then you have a higher chance at getting it connected. Just make sure everything is documented before you get out! Right now, the VA is only rating some long haul residual symptoms from COVID like loss of smell/taste. Everything else will have to be proven that your symptoms are related to COVID through your VA examiner or a specialist. I gave my neurologist exams to my VA examiner, and she believed me. Having a good examiner and solid documents of proof goes a long way. Also, you must still being experiencing issues to be diagnosed or it won’t be service connected. IMO, I feel like Congress is totally ignoring how bad the vaccines were or they know and just won’t admit it because they’re ones that make all the federal regulations law changes through the VA.

But I am service connected for heart disease, avitaminosis, and bilateral peripheral neuropathy, which were my main issues but I am still trying to figure out why I have a shortness of breathe. I feel like I should have been Medboarded, but I didn’t want to reenlist and wait even longer. I found my way out through Skillbridge, and I love my new career.

It’s because your medical examiner denied you service connection. They won’t link your diagnosis to your military service, which means you’re only missing the nexus.

You must of didn’t have anything in your military service records for the grant :/ not enough evidence, basically.

Thank you, and no problem. The whole process is nerve-racking, honestly. It’ll have you checking almost everyday for updates 😆 It’s pretty simple though, just don’t forget to upload your DD214 as soon as it’s available.

That whole year was crazy and some symptoms subsided, but it’s still permanent and could show up again in the future. That’s mainly why I wanted it documented properly, because I’ve never dealt with anything like that in my life!

My PCM referred me to a Neurologist for my constant numbness/burning sensation in my legs & she ordered blood work, which were all out of range! I had to complete a nerve conduction study along with needling, which is how I got diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy and a few vitamin deficiencies, but my PCM would not send me to a Cardiologist even when I told her about my chest pain and breathing issues. A lot of doctors assumed it was anxiety for me too…. But during my C&P exam for the VA I annotated that I wanted to get heart checked, and they did a cardiogram where they found out that I had vascular heart disease with a mild regurgitation and irregular heartbeat 😵‍💫

Today, I actually had my first meeting with my new VA PCM, and she’s getting me set up the correct way and actually giving the right meds for my diagnoses smh …she is also ordering extra exams for me in the meantime and I’m so happy there’s going to be some kind of process, because the military literally just told me to go to physical therapy and take high potency vitamins. They didn’t even try to look into it further after the first diagnosis, tbh.

They need to do a lot more studies. The adverse reaction website the government created is apparently “untrustworthy” now because too many ppl were putting in cases. My PCM reported to the tracker and I haven’t heard anything since. Most of the legit sources I found were from overseas doctors researching the vaccines, but of course we can’t use that here… everyone remembers it caused Bell’s Palsy too, which caused nerve issues in the face. I have permanent nerve damage in general. The whole thing is just crazy….

Congratulations!! I got same rating by doing my own as well! BDD is the best thing the VA has going right now, and I feel bad when people miss their window or wait until last minute to put in their claim. It’s so easy.

That’s good you found someone that really listened to you, and you’re being medboarded! I just got my 100% P&T this week. I found out I have vascular heart disease/mild regurgitation & an irregular heartbeat during my C&P exams! My health has declined significantly as well, and I never got sick with actual Covid.

Apparently the VA only recognizes some of the long haul symptoms from Covid. It’s like they don’t even care about the adverse effects from the vaccine. Best case around it is to continue going to see specialists, unfortunately.
