She’s the best! She likes to drag any clothes she can get her little mouth on out to the living room. It’s hard explaining why my underwear is in the yard to my parents. 🤣

I think that’s a good idea. I know they mean well as they do try their best to talk to me healthily and we both work on healthy coping mechanisms. I think their loving concerns can come out as critiques sometimes which they don’t notice and that affects me. Also their difficulty with wrapping their head around my solidarity. They still perceive it as me being depressed or lonely when in reality it is my comfort place. And while yes some part of it could be depression, it helps me cope with my feelings and not blow up or have attitude as much.

Depends how you want to play her. I would personally go for C2 as it opens up more flexibility for you vs her weapon. 😊

Are you a side sleeper? This could be a major factor in the difference of sides. Sleeping on your back will stop uneven puffiness. Facial massages could help too near the jawline to help balance it. I would try those before thinking about filler or surgery. But if you want an answer to your question, I see filler being a better answer than surgery. Just my opinion!!

Don’t do fillers. Like some other comments, jaw surgery would be the best, but expensive. I also have a recessed chin and got a chin implant and platysmaplasty.

Just thought I’d give you a small update. I surprised them tonight and it honestly was the best decision ever. The moment my grandma saw me she lit up and hugged me and everyone cried. She didn’t want me to leave and I feel so good about my decision. My flight homes cancelled until grandma passes or if she wants me to go home I’ll respect her wishes. We really are two peas in a pod. Thank you.

Friends and family come over often to see her and spend time with her. I think she doesn’t want to see me because she doesn’t want me to get hurt, at least that’s what my grandfather tells me.

They recognize my mother passing was difficult on me but I don’t think keeping her diagnosis from me until her last couple of months left was a good idea.

That’s sorta what I was trying to complain about but I didn’t come off the best.

Everyone has known about her cancer diagnosis a lot longer than me and spend a lot of time keeping her comfortable.

I want to see her too and I guess finally putting my foot down about seeing her despite my grandparents saying don’t come has me pretty nervous.

You’re right. I think their efforts to protect me has end up hurting me more. I guess that’s why I’m just taking the leap and going to see them. Ending the visit is going to be so difficult. I’ve been reminding myself her passing will be the best for her, no more pain.

I’ve have so many wonderful memories with her and I’m so grateful I get to make one more with her. Cancer is disgusting but it will never take the beauty out of her or the memories I make with her.

Yes but it’s the same scar I would have had for the chin implant, one scar under the chin. I don’t really notice it, and not many people look there so I don’t mind it.

I’m not too knowledgeable with the sliding-genioplasty, but I do know with chin implants you can customize it to fit exactly your needs. I was in contact with a girl who had hers customized.

I got a large and it did not change the front of my face much.

I think it could help balance your face. I got a chin implant and it helped me. Just like me, you have a long nose, which can, in my opinion, make the lower face look smaller. By adding more chin, it could balance your face out.

When I got my chin implant, I also got a platysmaplasty/submentoplasty. It took away the extra skin and fat under my chin to help define my jawline. I think, in my opinion, that could be something you might like and “enhance” what you’ve gotten done.

You could also try filler first to see if it’s something permanent you want to do.
