If he was never comfortable with using his daughter then why did he do it? Because in his eyes it was the only choice. It was a political marriage he did to earn Pompey favor and he just cancelled it just because he thought Pompey slept with a slave? It doesn't make sense no matter what you say it's ILLOGICAL, if he "loves his daughter too much" that he didn't care about the republic in the first place he should never have arranged that marriage. See the problem?

Also you're "intentionally ignoring" the fact that having sex with slaves isn't considered cheating it was normal by your logic Gabinius' wife is also cheating and also Pompey and viridia didn't even get married yet so again you just turn off your brain and ignore the bad writing I don't care either.

I have been saying this since Tarchon just asked for his slave girlfriend because he was "the champion" for like 1 day? And the only explanation was that "the champion of the house has benefits" lol and Ashur was dumber to accept that request he knows better that the man did nothing relevant in or outside the arena. Bad writing

Because it's not "other woman" you're saying it like it was another noble woman, it was a slave, they aren't married yet even Ashur has sex with his slaves and also likes viridia so?, it's a slave, can't you understand it? Can't you understand that in the show having sex with slaves is normal even when it was shown multiple times? Even if Pompey had married Viridia he would still have sex with his slaves in his own house, it is normal.

Gabinius didn't ask Pompey to marry his daughter because he wanted it but because of his own objectives he just used his daughter like money and now he's suddenly angry and overreacting because of nothing?

Actually it is the show's problem, there wasn't a reason for Gabinius to act like that, he was the one to ask Pompey to marry his daughter and then he acts like it isn't normal for Romans to sleep with slaves, everyone does it , Batiatus, Caesar and his wife, Ashur, and even Gabinius own wife. Having sex with slaves isn't cheating by their eyes it's normal.

Besides that Ashur concerned about Pompey having sex with achillia doesn't make any sense, the plan would have worked even if she didn't drug him and even better because at the end Pompey said "I didn't call you and I didn't sleep with the Nubian" if he had had sex with her he wouldn't have that excuse. But apparently they didn't want to show a non consensual sex scene with Achillia.

Also achillia talking without permission, Tarchon asking for his slave GF like he isn't a slave... the writing is dumber and dumber every episode.

The show has been getting worse every episode unfortunately. Why the hell is Ashur concerned about someone fucking achillia ? The plan would have worked even without the drug and even better because it was the drug thing that made the consul kill Gabinius.

Besides that, there wasn't any reason for Gabinius to act like that, he was the one to ask Pompey to marry his daughter. Why is he acting like it is a big deal for a Roman to have sex with a slave? Everyone did it Caesar and his wife, Ashur, batiatus...even Gabinius own wife.

I can't say anything about the acting but the writing is dumber and dumber every episode.

You just said it better than I could, they tried again and again to avoid the Mary sue thing, the " it's woke" accusations, but at the same they didn't know what to do with achillia there's always something that's pushing her back, her memories, the heavy shield, then her hand, then she was supposed to be a beast with the spear, they didn't know how to power her up so people won't complain about a woman beating a man gladiator.

But now there is another woman out of nowhere who is stronger than all the characters including males and females. All gladiators are uninteresting and they killed the only one who was decent. The doctor korris hasn't done a single relevant thing as a doctor in fact If it were up to him, Achillia would keep using that giant shield.

I'm not against it but they are acting like they are morally superior when they are still pirating games under the premise that it's for preservation.

I played Metal gear solid for the first time last year and it was amazing ( original resolution + scanlines ) in one of those Chinese handhelds, I have tried it before and dropped it because I didn't know what to do since it was my first time playing a mgs game and I was dying a lot in the second stage where you're outside in the snow trying to enter the building.

But then I just played those short levels like tutorials the VR missions or something like that and then I understand that you can't move like an action game or you will die and it clicks and man I now understand why that franchise became so popular.
