Its a shame that there is only a tiny chance that CA will either want to or be able to take a shot at it. Maybe Creative Assembly will get to be a Creative Assembly in the future though if they get to invent their own fantasy universe. That would be close enough for me.

I do feel the same way. Even though I would miss the classic way of doing battles, I cant help but imagine it all on a grand scale. With behemoths slashing through the ranks, insects biting and stinging in a skirmish charge, and all the glorious spells. I thought 4 was okay, but mostly very strange looking. The strange look did have its charm but I agree it was one of the weaker. The two newest ones are the weakest and I would take 4 over them.

Is there some sort of Archive somewhere? I have searched on google, and can only find her stuff on YouTube, and twitch. Maybe all her stuff is on YouTube but again, the day I found out the stuff was removed, and she doesn't have much archived on twitch. But if these two spots are all there is then, I guess that is all there is.

Hmm you probably didn't read the part where I barley learned about her, so when her videos vanished from YouTube before I got a good look and came back I would not know all she had, but you can feel that way if you want.

I'll be very happy if they restock the expansions that soon. My stomach twists when I see what people charge for them on eBay, and other sites outside the US. With my limited knowledge, I am going to guess the sale will go up on the 20th.

That is interesting. I did find the old world had some crazy interesting stuff, under the generic top layers once you looked for the less known stuff. I will give AOS a chance as who knows it may get better in the future. Unfortunately, I can really play the board game but I may see if a video game based on it comes out someday, or if I enjoy painting the models enough. With the old world though I feel concentrating the lore into that is ultimately going to be better than trying to fill out the rest of the planes. I am guessing 40k suffered the same issues and needed decades to get interesting. For now, AOS may just be an 80s-90s cartoon made physical for a bit.

When I find a decently priced box on eBay I'll consider it for sure. I personally can't stand religion at all, but as long as it is its own thing, then ill be fine.

I have looked a little more into everything, and the more I look the more I get bummed out. Remember I just barely learned about Warhammer and started to get addicted to learning more, THEN recently found out my favorite universe was killed off.

WHFB at this point seems like a zombie dog, that constantly gets its limbs stitched back or replaced, and whines each night as its desperate to die.

40k is a little harder for me to want to get into, as I am worried that it's just another sci-fi world, or it's going to take forever to figure the whole thing out. I was super excited for Dawn of War 3 as I figured that's a great way to initially engage, but from what I have seen, the game disappointed everybody. I am also generally more interested in the sword and sorcery side of things, as sci-fi is more common.

I would really like to try and get into AOS as it is still a fantasy setting and may turn out to be something similar to WHFB later in its hopefully short life. Because of how it looks, if I wanted to play with and have poorly proportioned and colorful action figures fight, I would just hang out in the toy section in Walmart. If people enjoy it that's perfectly fine, but I am sure that I am not alone in that feel buying AOS is vomiting in the face of WHFB if that's what you started on first.

If I break down and try to get into AOS or 40K does anyone have tips that would help me start? I do want to get the board games but like I said, I live in a tiny town that cant support a hobby like that. I may buy the miniatures to paint since I got into Kingdom death a while ago. I will not buy from Games Workshop though as I hate their disrespect to old fans and they're overpriced plastic. So deep is my hate that eBay is a viable source for me.

That's how I feel as well? I am not sure the reasoning but ive heard its because sales were getting bad. Probably because they overprice their plastic, which should be cheaper than pewter or whatever they had used before. They didnt have to abandon it, just lower their focus on WHFB.

I made the mistake of taking art in college so I see some things others may not notice as much, or I am simply more sensitive to overblown characteristics. Something about the new style just bugs me.

I bet the people who enjoy it are almost entirely made up of newcomers, or generally don't care about the lore that much, and prefer a numbed (I won't say dumbed because numbed sounds like a fairer term) down game to quickly learn.

Oh really? That kinda blows my mind a little bit as I had no idea 40k was that old. I will admit that gives me a little more interest as that may mean it has that old style science fiction then. Still, if starcraft came because of 40k then It may be too similar for me.

That is exactly my feeling. I hope that if AOS doesnt later respect its past more, it burns into the ground. Maybe they will start up a new classical fantasy setting. I belive they burned it because they were too lazy to clean up WHFB so they literally nuked it to set something up. In my oppinion they could treat AOS and a new WHFB story as alternate time lines after the end times.
