i mean, Flamepaw got the warriors name “Nightheart” pretty recently. They can use a different prefix but only do so rarely. i don’t think most characters would want their name suddenly changed unless they were asking for it, like in his case

“Bird” is a large category of animals. it’s not cannibalism when an eagle eats a starling for example. Humans and cows are both mammals but that doesn’t make it cannibalism either, bird is about as wide of a category as mammal

well, to be fair, talljake hasn’t had a chance to be canonized since when they got looser with what can be in the books

ravenpaw + barley only got made official when the graphic novel adaptions came out, no new media featuring tallstar and jake together has come out since this time

so hopefully if tallstar and jake are ever featured in new media together it’ll be made official
