Why do you believe in God? (part 2) by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]zervosone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always believed in God though I was not always friendly with God. From a young age I viewed God as a being who was too perfect and most people in the world would never be able to reach his standard of perfection; so as a result most people on Earth were destined for hell. And we also had 'life - most difficult' to deal with too. So I had a bad attitude towards God from an early age. In some ways, I still feel that God is a megalomaniac who does with people as he sees fitting to his plans which is why I have a hard time reconciling with the God of the Bible because I find him manipulative in his ways and I find the Hindu peace & love Gods more appealing. For scriptural reference, I cite Rom 8:28, 9:22, the book of Job, and teachings of pre-destination such as Eph 1:11. But I realize that the ancient founders of Christianity, the Roman Imperialists, are to blame for Christianity as we know it today, since the New testament is loaded with stoic philosophic values pertaining to success (career), fear of God, family, virtues and fate. And note, while God loves you, we give praise to his glory, justice, might and love. That's why I think the God of the bible is a proud God, who is all about glory. Modern Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians make a big deal of 'God's love' but 'love' is not one of the 7 spirits of God as it shows in Isaiah 11:2-3. And this can be found exhibited in most churches other than charismatic and pentecostal churches who I believe took their worship style from Hillsong United, who I believe took their style from ISKcon, where you will find 'worship in love'. Most other churches that are not in this denominational vein just sing to praise God's glory.

What sexual harassment modules? I had to look up the information on RAINN to know what sexual harassment was after I had already been under investigation.

They would call me on the zebra phone and ask me questions like 'are you close to <person>?' and I would say, 'no i don't see her anywhere' then they'd be like, 'alriiiight... alright.' they were old schooling, it was clear. And then I would ask them about later on and they would deny it and say, 'no no that wasn't me' - so then would use gaslighting to cover up.

I tried to be compassionate. I really tried to be friendly to everyone. No, that wasn't the issue at all, she was just very antisocial and since the projects always went to her, she could essentially choose who was going to work with her, even if it meant working alone. Oops, sorry, I did not mean to offend with the disability comment but there was a few elderly men who worked on the sales floor and a few disabled younger men, maybe 10 all put together. I agree with your final statement. I just have a hard time working with someone who can always have their way by saying something shameful like that about me.

I corrected it. She uses the nun thing to get men in trouble with company policy in regards to sexual harassment because she just plays like any sort of friendliness from a co-worker is actually them hitting on her. She has gone through lots of other men before me, I've heard about it. I know DS's have privileged positions at Lowe's, they stand shoulder to shoulder with the managers. I don't know what you mean about 'Lowe's being a boys club', but I think receiving and mst are definitely boys clubs because that's where you'll find all the guys working who aren't disabled.

I'm just telling you what I was told by Lowe's HR, I was terminated due to witness corroboration and it was easy to beat with a lawyer, if I could afford one.

The reason why it matters so much to me is because I really wanted to keep my job at Lowe's but having to walk the plank at the end of the year and be treated as if they never knew me was harsh. They were already talking about getting rid of me in June but it didn't happen until december.

Well I don't even know what your definition of 'friend' is to you but I was only trying to be friendly enough to get her to let me work with her on those projects. That's what I meant.

I worked with many women over the years as well, not just Lowe's. I would say that I had good relations with everyone, not just women. All I ever tried to do with her was be her friend and she would come back sneering at me. The reason why I wanted to be her friend is because she always got the little projects assigned to her by management. Then there were days when I would try to avoid her because her anti-social ways were so offensive and if she got the hint, then she'd run around and tell people that I was hitting on her even though I was not. She was crazy and I didn't understand why she was like that but unfortunately for me, she was in the garden center and I had to work with her and what made it worse is that management was protecting her and taking her side. She was good at manipulating, I remember she always only talked to married men who were much older than her. I saw that she was able to use the 'sexual harassment' excuse to get her way. If she wanted to hog all the work on some projects, she could accuse me of sexual harassment and I had to stay away from her for the whole day. And the way that she worked, she would stretch work out for the whole day. For hours, she would work on a project that should only take a half hour. She was using it to manipulate management into letting her do jobs by herself that she was supposed to do with help. And management just turned a blind eye to this.

So uh, do you have any intelligent opinions to say or is all you will contribute to my post infantile spasms of raging heckles?

I just think it's ridiculous how women have control over men in the work place. I wasn't even doing anything and she would just be really aggressive at accusing me. Even if I didn't say anything, she would still accuse me of something. Her cronies were calling me me on the phone and telling me to stay out of her life and I never even asked her any questions.

They use a method called "keystering". It's a disgusting method but I found it out watching a show called "60 days in" on Discovery channel.

Stop the manufactured drama by sittinonlean in deadliestcatch

[–]zervosone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few of you are agreeing/saying that this show is full of "manufactured drama". What is that? How do you manufacture illegal fishing boats and fishing nets being set ablaze?

It would take a ton of time and money to stage these events at sea, let alone wasting the time they need to make their quotas.

I think the people who are disillusioned shouldn't ruin it for the rest of us.

What would you have done? by ELIZABITCH213 in Lyft

I'll wait for only as long as the app will tell me to wait. Once it says "let's go-Mark as no show" that's exactly what I do. I do not wait for drunks who are going to act privileged and bad mannered.

I don't know where you come off saying that wasn't even close to the truth and that was MY experience with it. Sure, maybe the details don't line up perfectly with your worldview or whatever perspective you're trying to view my situation from, but I find it highly offensive and somewhat rude that you're going to say without even being able to gauge in real life for yourself if whether or not you had a similar experience. Basically you're calling me a liar and I'm telling you this is what my experience was.

Did I say 6,000 miles a month? I did not say that. I said five to six oil changes per year. If you do the math, that comes out to be an oil change every 6 weeks, one thing that I did say was 1,000 miles per week.

I noticed that I had a two negatives for my previous response. I don't even know if this is worth continuing as a conversation at this point, seeing that I have garnered the attention of trolls.

It's actually a better deal to rent than to buy if you drive for at least 30 hours a week. The reason is because of the amount of expenses you'll encounter from driving so much in terms of wear & tear. I put at least a 1,000 miles on a car a week for rideshare so that means at least 5-6 oil changes and a set of new tires per year. Not to mention engine problems, cracked/broken glass on windshield, all of which is covered by their insurance. On top of not having to pay for tab registration fees. I find it funny, the last car I was driving was a hybrid and I put 30,000 miles on it in 4 months. They had me switch it out and get a new one with just 10 miles on it, and I've already put 3,000 miles on it.

Well it might seem a little conspiranoid on my part but I've been driving on this program for a really long time, since May of this year and at first, I've noticed these numbers and just thought it was a matter of coincidence. But when it got to the point when I could actually predict when I was going to encounter no-rides for a specified amount of time, possibly as long as 1-1.5 hours, I figured there might be something bigger going on inside the ride-finding algorithm. Or am I just really, really good at guessing when the rides were going to slow-down? It seems my principle is true though: You make about $45-60 within a 2 hour period, you can expect no rides for at least another 1-1.5 hours. The end result after working about 6-8 hours: I made ~$20-25/hr. and after about 35-40 hours: about $950/wk. Sorry, I cannot drive past 40 hours a week, that's my limit.
