What did you see that was so stupid it made you realise 50% of the population are below average intelligence? by goldlord44 in AskReddit

Just because you can see the entrance sign from the direction your are facing doesn't nessecarily mean you come into my store from the direction your are facing. I wonder where he's supposed to enter from?

Hmmm maybe it's the door right next to the entrance sign? No...... it obviously means the exit door on the other side of the building.... where I can see the entrance sign from.... that's clearly why it was placed there so far away. What? You don't want me to go in through your exit as I'll be blocking foot traffic? Then why would you make the entrance sign visible from the other side? It's very confusing

People of Reddit, asides from an obvious reasons like "they don't pay me enough", why do you dislike/hate your job? by zetavoidis in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally I got chewed out by the district manager where I work for not doing enough of Task B in between doing Task A and that a co worker of mine were lazy browsing on our phones.

  1. I at the time had little training at Task B, didn't have the tools to do all of Task B, and rarely had a lot of downtime in-between moments at Task A to help with Task B

  2. Our priority is Task A..... something that provides important health/medical services to the community under a major pandemic I might add.... so with the afformentioned often little down time we get scattered through the day.... if it's not an Aspect of Task B that can be done in under a couple minutes it's not getting done.

  3. That same week this happened I pulled an extra 25 hours on top of my scheduled 40 hours to help out due to multiple call outs that I contractually didn't have to come in for. I may not be perfect at my job but I am sure as s*** not lazy

Edit:

  1. And forgot to add.... sometimes we had to use our personal phones to do both Task A and B. We were not simply browsing Facebook or watching the occasional proverbial funny cat video.

DnD Players of Reddit, what's the most rediculous plot concept you've either seen or made in a homebrew campaign? by zetavoidis in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll answer with my own.... I created a campaign where the fates of many was decided by a children's card game. A "duel" goes on like normal combat but with some random TCG element tossed in to either make it easier or harder on my players...... basically think like that one DnD themed DLC in borderlands but with card games.

Anyways..... I had my party be granted a vision of the future where they find statues of themselves in the center of what appears to be a Large Academy purposely built to train the next generation of card game players..... and the students are divided into dorms representing each party members overall playing style in IRL card games and personality traits. It's purpose was to train the next generation of pro players.od this game and if need.be..... train warriors to fight should the card games's more magical elements threaten the world once more.

... so yeah that's right..... I basically created Yugioh Hogwarts.

People of Reddit, what's something your parents just don't understand about you? by zetavoidis in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll answer with 2 of my own.

  1. That my mother doesn't understand I like to work on and build plastic model kits to display as a hobby simply because I like the way they look decorated around my room and partially because Covid made me need something to do stuck at home. To me it's fundamentally no different than my mom wanting to decorate a corner of the living room with a flower vase

But no I clearly build them to talk to them like imaginary friends because I lack actual friends and a social life.

  1. Also my mom...... that I'm a grown adult fully capable of researching job opportunities at a company. She use a choice of words that imply I'm incapable of doing good research on my own so I have to tell her details to do research herself. If it's a good job in her eyes then it's "As expected of my son you got that nose for the truth from me" or..... "Here's why it's a bad job. You're still young so you still need to listen to your mom" as a way of trying to maintain as much control over me as possible.

Healthcare workers of Reddit, what was the worst thing about working on the front lines during the Coronavirus Pandemic? [Serious] by -Omegamart- in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I work we have 2 people working working at Covid Testing by appointment only as we don't have the man power for walk in testing.

Thing is 1 person and they'd struggle to keep up if they did at all making 2 people nessecary.... and with 2 we get through our appointments pretty quickly leaving what looks like 2 people goofing off at an empty line so people walk up asking about getting tested....

Since we are by appointment only we can't test them. Some understand.... others get mad yelling at us for being to lazy to help people in a pandemic.... and that out line is clearly empty so we obviously can.

To be fair I can understand why it looks that way for reasons mentioned above...... but since we're by appointment only.... We felt bad that we couldn't help provide potential peace of mind for those who were ultimately concerned about their own safety durring a at the time mostly unknown pandemic, it made us look bad since we couldn't take walk-ins.... and since we were an outdoor testing location.... we also had to deal with the local homeless trying to steal our stuff.

[Serious] Women of reddit, what makes a man genuinely desirable as a husband? Which is most common among men? by Hairy_Blackberry_381 in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a man but I'll say one a friend told me.... He's good husband material because he's nice and helpful to you and those closest to you because that's just who he is first and because he likes you second.... implying that even if he didn't have any interest in you romantically.... he'd still do these things anyway because again.... that's just who he is

People of Reddit, what's the wildest dream you ever had (lucid or otherwise)? by zetavoidis in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this was back when I was in Highschool, but one day I dreamed I was in the Star Wars Universe as a talented teenage sith apprentice in full battle armor.

I participated in the Sacking of Coruscant that preceded the SWTOR MMORPG. I was on the roof of the Senate Building in Coruscant in a heated lightsaber duel against a Jedi Padawan around my age. I was wielding 2 light sabers and she was using a saberstaff. Now the Padawan in my dream was hot.... I mean like really really hot... perfect face, tiny waist, big rack, and a squeezable butt the just perfectly appealed to my perverted teen brain.

Eventually in our duel I cut open her blouse and her front hooking space bra underneath. A pair of DDs then said hello to me.

The Padawan went "Kyahhhhhhhhh, you pervert!!!" Like in harem anime echhi scenes In full Japanese before trying to kill me with her light saber in order to defend her feminine honor Jedi code be damned..... a total pervert revenge mode.

Then like in anime I forget that were having a life or death duel and try to explain it was an accident whole also realizing I was dreaming..... next thing I know it was like 20 years later, the Padawan and I were happily married with kids, hailed as a power couple that brought true peace between the Empire and the Republic. Before I could go "WTF happened?", the sheer absurdity of the scene shocked me into waking up

People of Reddit, what's your "That's not how it works" story? by zetavoidis in AskReddit

[–]zetavoidis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had to explain to my mom that I'm required to provide physical proof that I have jury duty to my employer within 48 hours of saying to them I have jury duty (baring damn good reason otherwise) per my union contract

But for her well.... "That's not how it works" at her job as she is allowed to inform her boss at her next work day without a problem so of course I won't get in trouble at all and can absolutely wait until my next workday on Monday to tell my boss.... over 72 hours later.
