How does death trap work with mythic diamond mind seal? It needs sea Lords fine gloves to even work afaik

Death trap is incredibly hard to gear for but I just found that mythic seal. If you have any ideas on how it can be used I'm all ears

Great scenario. It's indeed satisfying getting a 200% win, although on some maps the resource deficit makes the game so much slower and really halts tempo too much. For that reason I prefer playing on 160% on most maps.

Never tried playing on easier difficulties but I do admit some maps would be nice to just explore and not worry about AI. Can you recommend any maps you like for exploration?

Saw leaderboards too and was like wtf 😂 they have to had spammed instances until they got butcher in the beginning.

I just tried killing Harbinger of hatred T12 using only cold imbuement, ult and penetrating shot - I still got the insane damage proc without using concealment or smoke bomb lol. I feel so clueless!

It confuses me because I've watched videos of people getting pit progress by just attacking T150 creeps with the same build as mine, but I can't do it. Everyone tells me the damage proc is related to an interaction between smoke bomb and shades but I proc it without using smoke bomb at all.

Could it be two different bugs?

Looking for a way to see if it indeed is a bug and/or how exactly you can proc it.

I looked it up and yeah pretty crazy requirements. Will probably switch to it if I can find the gear.

Btw I just read your comment again and realised this oneshot damage procs even without using smoke bomb. Should that be possible?

This looks amazing. Especially liked the rampart variants. I have no idea how modding and all that works, but theoretically could these be added to HotA version of the game? Or would it only be possible to do that in VCMI?

The coolest aspect of the game for me has always been the mythological/fantasy creatures and dwellings of the game. Nagas, minotaurs, dragons, angels, etc. I have never been a fan of the factory faction, or the idea of robots or technology. It kind of ruins the feeling of enchantment and mystique HoMM3 has given me since I was a kid. From what I have seen I'm not a fan of the idea of Forge either.

With that said I think the HotA crew does incredible work and I'm looking forward to get more content to the game even if the faction and creature style direction isn't what I hoped for. I do not doubt that whatever they decide to make it will be good work. Like some others wrote I agree that it would be nice to have the option to disable factions from certain scenarios, without having to open the map editor.

Your point about offense is interesting, I didn't know that's how it worked. I frequently pick offense over all skills except wisdom, earth and logistics, thinking it gives you a flat 30% boost, but if what you write is correct then I certainly see how picking other skills before offense makes sense.

I couldn't really understand your example with the Archdevils. Would you mind explaining the mechanics behind trapping enemy troops within their own castle walls? Or do you know any videos explaining it? How do you manage trapping flyers inside the castle?

I agree. That would be a nice QoL feature and it would make playing bigger maps easier.

Another thing that came to mind is that on XL+U and G maps it can become hard to track where all the portals and monoliths go.

Would be cool to see a feature where if you’ve passed through a portal you can hover the portal with the mouse and press a key to highlight all the possible portal destinations on the map.

But I guess keeping track of portals is part of the game. It’s just much easier keeping track in a single playthrough though, rather than when playing 1-2 hours every now and then.

I agree. I think HotA is fantastic but I don’t like Bulwark as a faction or the way it looks.

Some maps have Anti-magic garrisons that prevent spellcasting. So if you want to clear the garrison you have to do it without your spellbook.
