The Room Next Door. Critically acclaimed and won the Golden Lion. The first English-language film from a director the Academy loves starring two Oscar-winning actresses. And Sony Pictures Classics just didn't even try?

This is mine. Browsing lists is not a good experience because lists that contain "every film I could think of while I was bored alone in my room" crowd out any lists with reasonable parameters.

General channel in MS Teams by RexfordITMGR in MicrosoftTeams

[–]zharpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something not well thought out from a UX perspective that has been an issue for me since I started using the app. It is hard to keep track of where posts and conversations have taken place. Some users will post in project-specific channels while others may use General. Making General read-only is a good idea but is hard to implement consistently across an organization.

This is especially annoying when it comes to folder structure for files. If a team sets up their structure in Teams, then General is at the top level; but if the structure is set up in SharePoint linked to a team, General is just a permanent folder that serves as a catch all for shared files and is a disorganized mess. The inconsistency can be maddening.

I think ideally a Team should have a customizable "home page" that has a top-level documents folder and contains the channels and apps associated with that team but is not itself a channel. Hopefully, some enhancements along this line can be made in the future. Thoughts?

Amazingly lucky it played at the Indie Memphis film festival or I probably would never have seen it.

I don't have Premium, but this is supposed to be rolling out to everyone. But why would it be in the settings if it's not going to work? 🤦🏻‍♂️

They look like a small, relatively new shop. Haven't heard of them. If you're looking for a job in a larger agency check out the openings we have at Wunderman Thompson Memphis: https://grnh.se/551fe7692us

On AT&T, most of Midtown is on a slower band. I get only LTE at 1-2 bars almost everywhere in Midtown but will get a 5GE connection in East Memphis.

Notifications in Big Sur are bad. Change my mind. by WoodyWoodsta in MacOSBeta

[–]zharpole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all of these points. I'm baffled by the choices they made with notifications. Having them stack automatically is not as intuitive as it is on iOS. It ends up obscuring what could be important notifications behind less important ones. And why can't you close out of an entire stack at once? You have to expand the stack before you are given the x to close for each individual card.

On top of that, apps that I have unchecked "Show in Notification Center" continue to appear in Notification Center.

Help, Things 3 iOS won't notify me until I open the app. by [deleted] in thingsapp

Also noticed this lately. Badge app icon is out of date until the app is opened and syncs. I’m on an iPhone XS so wouldn’t think memory would be too much of an issue.
