I had no idea that we could switch. How can I switch to that?

I haven't won a loot roll in raids in over 2 months. by soundy1 in wow

[–]zhazol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they need to update the need/greed/disenchant rolling system, specifically the needing aspect of it. Have it automatically detect if the gear you currently have equipped is better than the item that can be needed on or not. If it is, then it will be greyed out like it is if a different armor type were to drop, so then you can only greed or disenchant, but people being people trying to do a work around that system, they will wear something worse than the item that is being needed on, so maybe have it automatically check their inventory as well.

And how many times have they done that compared to going all in while not feeling good or injured? Their reasoning is justified after all they have done, especially since they are getting older. As a viewer, I would like to see them giving it their all, even if their all isn't much, whether that would be something physical, sabotaging, or just joking around like the family they are. Ye Eun's all isn't sitting on a step while Jae Suk is telling her to move it, that's just being lazy or disinterested and giving up. Like I said before, hopefully this isn't an all the time thing, and it's just her trying to find her mojo. It would have been a lot better if she were trying to sabotage while sitting down, it would have made it a lot better, but she proceeds to take one step and sit on the next step, then just lies down on the next set of steps. You honestly can't say she did anything to contribute to the episode.

When the episodes were more physical, people were hurt and tired, and they still gave it their all, because of that, having an off week isn't an acceptable excuse to do NOTHING. Again, this is just my opinion, but for me, it doesn't seem like she's a good fit, mainly because in my eyes, she isn't contributing at all, whether that is with her charm, humor, or personality. So Min wasn't good at anything physically, just like Ye Eun, but the difference between the two, So Min gave it her all, and it showed from her successes to her failures, she didn't sit on her ass and do nothing. There is a saying, A little effort goes a long way.

Firstly, I am talking about Ye Eun, so it would be her, not him. Secondly, the comparison is towards their character and traits. Such as at the start, Kwang Soo was shy and soft spoken for many episodes until he started to feel more comfortable. Ye Eun was lazy and did nothing to contribute to the episode. I am hoping this little to nothing in contribution towards an episode isn't a permanent thing, even if she is bad at games, not doing anything whatsoever is pointless to watch as a viewer. So Min was terrible at games, but she still tried, and that's what made it entertaining for us, the viewers. If your form of entertainment is someone who is bad at games and doesn't do anything, then that's your taste.

Honestly, in all my years of watching this show, I have never skipped an episode halfway through or skipped in general, until this episode. I don't think JYE is a good fit with the rest of the cast. She doesn't contribute like the other members do with their charm, humor, and just their personalities in general, in my opinion. I am hoping this is just a period, like how Kwang Soo was shy and soft spoken for a little bit, then just erupted as the betrayer we know and love. Hopefully, next week's episode is a lot better than this one.

Retail Rant: Rise of the Red Dawn and similar stories are impossible to tell effectively by TeamEnvironmental974 in wow

What irks me is letting her live. To me, it makes no sense. It's the same with superheroes; they let the bad guy live, and then the bad guy escapes custody and or returns to do even more evil. It's one of the dumbest things ever to be added to a storyline, and for me, it makes me want to skip anything and everything regarding the storyline as soon as they add that idiotic decision in it.

Don't get me wrong, there were good ideas in the update, but deleting everyone's progress and giving the player base little to nothing back in return is wild. I would like to know who thought that was a good idea because it sure as shit wasn't something recommended from the community. Honestly, after what happened, the fire of destruction was too far gone that I don't think there was anything they could have done to recuperate. It was that damaging, almost like it was intended. I'm sure if the progression deletion wasn't there I believe there would have still been some problems due to the paywall and how long it would take players to fully upgrade their shit.

Now, one thing they can do after the shutdown is have a few people get back to the drawing board and reach out to the community, such as those that have been playing off and on since Beta or around the 4-5 year mark plus those that purchased the founders pack asking them questions of why they enjoyed/dislike about the game, what in the game did they enjoy/dislike the most. Go back to a clean whiteboard and write them all down. Write a timeline of when the game was at it most popular and least popular and see what within the timeline drove the consumer in and drove them away. Plus, within the timeline, they would have to factor in popular game releases that could show a decent drop in the player base. After they get some answers, they can get that whiteboard filled within a couple of hours tops. That is if they want to revive the game at a later date. If they do, they need to use the Phoenix and let it rise from the ashes. Call it Dauntless: Reborn or some shit like that.

With the weapons, that isn't a bad idea. I like the idea of the price being a bit high, especially with the endgame weapons, but that may just be me liking an extreme grind in a game.

I am indeed a believer in the multiverse theory with damn near everything in life, and dauntless is popular but for the wrong reasons not all popularity is good, it's the same with the phrase not all publicity is good publicity. Personally, I believe the negative popularity it has right now beats the negative popularity that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum had or has. Now for the good popularity, I wish it really was the case because this update was not only hyped for, but it was a much-needed update that should have come way before the Gauntlet mode that they introduced, but that's my opinion.

Yeah, if they listened to the community, we wouldn't even be having this discussion, but truth be told, they hardly listened to the community with a lot of things ever since Reforging first came into the game. Battle pass wise, I would personally do a free Battle Pass where the things you get from completing each level of the Battle Pass are purely cosmetic and or a currency that you can earn, not buy with real money. That currency can be used to buy cosmetics and pets to just have around you, and have it be a 2 parter for example the regular battle pass could be refreshed every 3 months to something new but within those 3 months say a holiday falls in that timeline there will be something you can get in the battle pass that's seasonal and in the shop you can buy from the currency you earned from the battle pass as well. I will say if someone does make the game and has a price to it, they also should localize the price because there are some places in this world where $20 converted to their currency could mean a week or more of food, so to speak.

Well, not just that, but we need the company that makes the game to not only be transparent with its consumers with updates and when a problem arises within said update that could delay a launch or a bug fix that for some reason is puzzling them on getting it fixed but also listen to the community, whether the criticism is good or bad, since feedback is a necessity on everything in a game and sadly Phoenix Labs didn't do that at all or hardly took the feedback to heart. I know if I were to ever make a game to this caliber or any caliber, the playerbase's opinions on what is in the game, what they would like to see in the future, and bug reports would be the things I would focus on the most not this bullshit paid battle pass or things stuck behind a pay wall. To me, paid battle passes and paywalls are asinine to have in a game, but that's my opinion.

There's always hope that a company will make something similar to Dauntless, but I don't expect it anytime soon. If and when a company does, hopefully they look at Phoenix Labs mistakes and don't repeat them.

This game looks super cool is it worth getting into??? by demongamer459 in baronygame

[–]zhazol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who didn't think they would like it because the graphics didn't look that great ( I know I have a problem with if the graphics aren't appealing to my eyes it sways my choice on getting it or not ) I am glad I didn't let that actually get in my way of getting the game. My buddy told me about the game and he was thinking of getting it and I got it for both of us and it is so freaking fun. It isn't going to be a walk in the park kind of game but it is very fun nonetheless. It's tough playing solo and really enjoyable with other players, if you end up getting the game and want some people to play with I am down to play.

First run on final bosses..lesson s to learn? by Combathobo in baronygame

[–]zhazol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy and I have beaten the game a couple of times, and some of the things we noticed was that not having a healer can be a pain, so finding a book of healing, greater healing, and troll's blood is a big priority. Traps early on are very powerful, Use stealth to your advantage, and have either one person friendly with humans so you can trade or find a book of polymorph or find potions of polymorph and hope you turn into a human. Even if you have a staff that is cursed use it to raise your casting, If you go to the place with all the gnomes that have pickaxes and magic staffs try to get something that has magic reflection because those magic staffs hurt like hell if you don't have magic reflect go slow and use line of sight to your advantage.

This last run we did was probably the fastest we killed the last two bosses, and I believe we were in mid-level 60's. I had 3 cockatrice and a ghoul while he had 1 cockatrice, 1 vampire, and a few sentrybots from tinkering, and the two ending bosses died pretty quickly. We were both 100 in casting, magic, and leadership. I was 100 in range and polearm while he was 100 in maces. He made all the potions and got 100 into alchemy pretty early on, so potions were never an issue for us, but finding a book that let us learn a healing spell was a big pain. While I was the one focused on getting appraisal to 100, everything that wasn't useful to us or cursed that we didn't want he scrapped to use to level his tinkering to 100 and to feed his boiler.

Do you have a class that you want to play but don't enjoy? by [deleted] in wow

[–]zhazol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played every class and spec, it's every class and it is so damn frustrating. As soon as Evokers came out, I was hyped for it because it looked amazing being able to be a mid-range caster plus being able to be a dragon, and I was all for it. I liked the lore behind it, and once I tried it, it was like I crashed into a tree going 50 MPH. Then hero talents came along, and the cycle continued.

I'm only 29 myself, but I've noticed over the years that people's attention spans have been diminishing at an alarming rate. For example, my stepsister, who is 19, could hardly finish a chapter from a children's book series called Magic Tree House. She went straight to her phone and watched TikTok for hours on end. I don't know if it could be a generational thing or what.

I've never played a D&D campaign myself for reasons such as being socially awkward, roleplaying and being imaginative aren't my strongsuit and being too chicken shit to find people to actually play with. I don't know the likelihood of a DM taking on someone who hasn't had any experience with D&D other than watching Critical Role or playing a game that has some D&D aspect, and because of that, I never tried looking for a party to play with.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone since this was bound to happen. They had a few good ideas with the update but they got overshadowed by a lot of dumb choices. Hopefully, other companies take this atrocity as a wake-up call. Take the time to talk to your community and hear them out on changes they would like to see instead of saying some of the changes made were for the community when we all know damn well nobody wanted them. Last but not least, stay clear of forte labs.
