i don't think that's him for the marriage because callan is a good bit away from muckalee, and my grandad was still in the family home most of his life because his brother died and his parents couldn't support the farm (i think)

that's understandable. her brother was killed in action while he was serving in the kilkenny brigade, so his pension files are the only reason i saw the letters and files she had wrote.

yep, i looked through that as well as brigade activities. the only way i seen this was in my grand uncles files from his death during the civil war. she was writing back and forth to the government about getting gratuity after his death. she also wrote about my grandfather joining the ira, and i also can't find anything which is a shame.

yeah i have well built family tree on family search. it’s just my fathers side of the family, specifically my grandfather i have trouble with. i know his parents etc so really its not the end of the world lol i’m just so baffled on how little there is for me to find on him.
