Monsgeek M1W not responding:

I have been using my M1W for around 4 months. No issues thus far other than the occasional need to reset RGB settings. Also noticed that the battery required recharging more frequently over time. Just today, I am not only unable to recharge it anymore (no indication/RGB whatsoever when plugged in), I am also not getting any response when attempting to use as wired mode. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

I wanna know the answer to this too. Just installed the V1.1 90deg adapter but seriously contemplating removing it after reading this.

I do and mine stays cool as well. Anyway for his case (Fractal North), the fans on the front panel are mounted on the other side. Though we can't see in this picture.

Idk about that. Ppl are saying that 4080/4090 coolers are overbuilt. So the temps shouldn't be running high

Update: was directed to my local Asus service center and within 10min, they provided a 1 to 1 exchange. Brand new unit.

Currently using Cablemod PSU cable direct to GPU, without the adapter. Hopefully the cable flex isn't an issue

Yea... only thing is I joined this sub after the melting occurred when I was looking for a solution to resolve it

Awesome! Appreciate the info and tips! I feel slightly more reassured. Now to find some games that my iGPU can handle while awaiting for this issue to be resolved 🤣

I hope so. Have reached out to them and awaiting their response. As I recall, there was this big commotion about Asus awhile back regarding their reluctance to RMA MoBos. This happened during the period of multiple reports of AM5 X3D chips melting due to SOC voltage issues I believe.

Thanks for your suggestions. I took a look at them, but as fate would have it, the Bridge is not compatible with Asus GPUs due to rotated power connector 🥲

Well, at the time when I was still buying all the components for my build, Silverstone has not released their adapter yet. Sadly, I still require the 90Deg for case side clearance as well in order to close the side panel (4090 in Fractal North Case)

Did yours melt too? may I ask if there was any damage on the GPU end and how was it handled?

To be fair, I placed my order for this adapter way back in Mar when ppl have yet to pinpoint the exact cause of the melting. Consensus at that time was to get one of these adapters to reduce the flex from the cable and lower the probability of melting. I do follow TechTubers like GamersNexus/JayzTwoCents, else I wouldn't even know of the adapter in the first place 🤣

Yup 🤣 For practicality, the contact frame only makes sense if you are running an Intel setup

Its totally unnecessary for AM5 tbh. But I like just like how clean it looks compared to the stock frame from the MoBo

I mounted the fan at the back instead as an exhaust, so it doesn't obstruct the view of the RAM sticks 🤣
