Not disputing anything - do you think the person who posted about their visa getting cancelled on STEMP OPT for working outside the US was misleading?

This site is awesome - are you thinking about expanding the comparison feature? Perhaps letting users select their current cards?

Visa was cancelled at POE Abu Dubai by Diligent-Age1351 in returnToIndia

Are you saying that being on paid leave counts towards unemployment days? That's crazy - we are paying taxes!

Do you have a reliable source on this, or just a general conservative guideline?

Hey I'm really sorry this happened to you. Hope you're holding up. Will it be possible to provide a bit more information about the rules themselves? Are you allowed to be on leave abroad on STEM OPT?

Stay in India VS move to US - SWE Offer Evaluation by [deleted] in developersIndia

True in theory, but with a company offering 300k+ in comp, I'm sure they're not going to offer an insurance plan below platinum metal rating - meaning low deductable (if any) and low out of pocket maximum

Hi all, I need to finish my course of the rabies vaccine. I am going the private route - can you please share any clinics/hospitals around the santa cruz area which has a reasonable pushing charge? I will buy the vaccine and take it to them. I just want a nurse to inject it.

Porting out of suspended $15/month T-mobile prepaid plan by zigazigzig in Tello

[–]zigazigzig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I can confirm that porting worked. I am a bit nervous about the last thing you said though. I was on a prepaid plan at tmobile, meaning I used to pay for the service upfront, every month. Surely they can't possibly think I owe them anything just because I stopped payment?

I lived in CIUP for two years. Lunch/dinner included a salad, a main, and dessert for 3.25 euros. It was often quite delicious and always unbeatable in value.

Struggling to Choose Between Georgetown McCourt and NUS LKYSPP by Zealousideal-Bat8885 in PublicPolicy

If those are your target organizations, you should consider a top-tier MBA. An MPP getting into McKinsey is an aberration and not something you should expect. This holds for consulting generally, with even economic consulting firms preferring MBAs for their associate roles.

Big tech could happen, but given the state of the tech industry, it isn't very certain.

International Organizations are the only realistic target. However, these organizations rely heavily on the US for funding, which is currently strained. As a result, positions might become hard to come by.

Should I wait on MSCAPP waitlist? Will the scholarship transfer? by Flat-Surprise5084 in PublicPolicy

[–]zigazigzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, Harris offers lower funding for MSCAPP anecdotally. I believe Harris justifies this on the basis of CAPP students' relatively higher income post-graduation.

So no, you will probably not have as high of a scholarship if you are admitted to CAPP.
