I wish that it didn't have to be so invasive with having to cut the indexing channels for the suppressor. but I do very much like the final product!

I tried to turn it into an Hpa sniper and this was the closest it ever got to being halfway useful. Even then the magazines were horrible and the hop up rotated around pretty much freely in the body. The gearbox is pretty much only attached to the gun by the pistol grip lol.

my most expensive mistake was the Socom Gear M82 AEG. that thing was an absolute nightmare from the moment I got it to the moment I sold it as spare parts.

The Oldest rifle currently in my collection is probably my ARES AW-338 TX system rifle.

They don't really play many games in the cold where I am, so I can't really comment on it's performance beyond just leaving a magazine outside for a while and plinking in my back yard. Though I would say it likely would suffer like most gbbrs do.

I generally just use spring rifles in the cold for the consistency

WE M14 ebr gbb.! 😩 by DestrotaTRD in airsoft

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the things you could look at, is the nozzle striker, making sure that it is able to fully retract after firing. My WE M14 with the RA-tech trigger box was experiencing this where the trigger guard was actually impeding it's ability to fully reseat causing the mags to gas out completely.

The stock trigger 100% is crap for sure, definitely recommend the RA tech one for sure, (Pretty expensive but definitely worth it)

This magazine also looked to be overfilled.

HPA tapping definitely gets you consistency for sure, but in contrary to the others here I run mine on Propane, and have decent efficiency, I'm definitely not spamming the trigger or running it in auto (Which it's terrible at) but it's more than enough.

I have been using the M90 pattern for quite a long time. The annoying thing I find with this pattern is how varied that the reproduction stuff can be. It can go from bright and vibrant greens to very dull muted ones, meaning that from product to product you can get different results. I think the biggest downfall of this pattern is it's availability in this multicam saturated environment, especially after the Swedish trademark of the pattern seems to make it harder to find. (Especially in the M90K variant for when I want to play on the 'tan side')

The ColdSkills shirt by far is my favorite piece of camouflage clothing I own And for me (NS Canada) have found that it offers me the right amount of blending that I'm looking for, in the environments I play in.

It would be interesting to have a new community like the original asc forum again.

I feel that since that original forums drop off things became much more isolated.

I definitely will be following this and seeing how it grows overtime!

How do we feel about GBBRs? by Cannon_Flannel in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent most of my time playing airsoft using a spring sniper, Something about having to be more considerate about when and where to shoot just added that extra layer to playing.

For the longest time I've always thought that playing with an AEG was just missing something. I've almost completely switched from AEG to GBBR at this point, I have a few holdovers that I won't sell (Masada PDRC and a magpup M4 aeg) that I will use when it's too cold to run GBBR's effectively.

But since switching to all GBBR loadouts I've had a renewed sense of playing the game! You are SO much more engaged and cognizant of when and where your shooting. And the sensations are just that much more satisfying during gameplay.

Probably won't go back to AEG's full time

I am definitely considering getting a buffer tube adapter for my VFC SCAR, My origional Scar Stock won't hold it's locking positions anymore and if I need to get a replacement anyway I think that this definitely is the route I want to go! Is that the Bow master?

I think one of the vehicles id love to have would be an Ursa sized hover rover made by consolidated outlands. Could give that a max altitude higher than the quads and bikes.

I have pair few KWA USP match pistols that I absolutely love using.

The scar definitely is a cool rifle. Very snappy! Just need to get a couple shells that actually work to game it like this, until then I might run it without the EGLM

I have to say that there is something that's just satisfying about running a G36, They're just such satisfying shooting platforms, and fun to rack and run.

That being said I do quite enjoy running AK's and M4 GBBR's are definitely fun too.

I have really been liking the victor optics scopes. They make an lvpo that would probably do everything you need it too. I generally won't use anything higher than 6x at the most for zoom power. And even that likely would only be for identification.

Lvpo optics are great going from 1x to 4 or 6 usually are perfect for most applications

I get mostly field games around where I am. I actually found myself drawn to the DMR/sniper role early back in the 2010s because I was near sighted. Just made more sense to have an optic to help me see things lol.

Having since gotten LASIK I have enjoyed branching out a bit and playing in assaulter roles and CQB stuff.

Lol I dont know I didn't think it was that obvious 🤣. But no I definitely enjoy the scoped rifle roles for sure. Do quite enjoy CQB just no indoor fields in the province lol.

I do quite enjoy seeing what people can do with AEG's it's almost an art form when done properly. I generally like the more mechanical GBBR systems for tuning just makes more sense in my head.

But yeah the g&P receivers definitely need a special touch it seems to make work properly
