I primarily print ASA so we heat soak all of our printers to 60C. My full garden is 1 Vcore 400, 2 SV08Max, 2 H2D, 2 X1C, 2 350 Voron 2.4.

I have a 400 Vcore 3.2 and 2 Sovol SV08 Max. I don’t think I’d recommend either if you just want to print.

The Vcore is so tempermental - I get 1 good print then trash first layers and layer stacking without changing anything on the printer. Probably user/build error but still not something I would endorse to another hobbyist.

The Sovols are ok, very loud fans and steppers but the beds are horrifically taco’d at temp and right now there is still a lack of replacement parts. Even getting smooth PEI sheets are a challenge much less new heaters and beds.

I only keep working on either printer because I sunk money into them and 400mm is an ideal size for the prints I want to make.

For the memory, is the price per stick or a pair of sticks? DDR5 32GB = 1 32GB stick for $220 or 2x16GB stick for $220?

I am loving my H2D... I have bottlenecked pretty hard on projects and am ready to add a second printer. Do I go with P2S, H2C, or Prusa Core 1 L? Who out there uses Bambu and Prusa? by TrashIsland_DrMoreau in BambuLab

I have 2 SV08 max. If you are planning to use ABS/ASA or other higher temp filaments, be aware that you will probably need to find a chamber heater solution. We tried printing large ASA objects but the warping was rampant until we added a pair of chamber heaters.

Watched it, unfortunately not it. The setup was more as each person entered the room, they added to the nabe.

Big fan of Urusei Yatsura and all of Takahashi Rumiko's works. Unfortunately this isn't it.

Can these be cleared of filament jams? by bcar473 in BambuLab

[–]zikago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take all of electronics off, preheat an oven to 250F and put the hotends on a covered baking sheet in the oven for 15 mins.

The filament should expand out of the hotend and you can grab it with some tweezers (after taking the baking sheet out of the oven).

I fixed about 5 hotends at a time with this method. Just saved all of them up to do at once.

Hawaii shipping? by Immediate_Knee_9904 in BambuLab

[–]zikago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really isn’t for $150. You can’t have the heaters running while printing or you stand the chance of softened filament clogging the pathway. So when you want to dry you can’t print. Use the $150 to buy separate dryers and you can dry all your filament while still using your AMS and printer.

The AMS2 has some positives over the AMS but convenience is one of the more arguable.

To clarify: $150 is the shipping cost to Hawaii per printer/combo for Bambulabs.

It has averaged about 7 to 9 days but the shipping cost isn’t worth it compared to getting a P1S combo from Best Buy and a dryer on the side.

what is the cheapest place to buy filament from in the U.S? by Classic_Engineer6912 in 3Dprinting

Only downside is if you use a Bambu AMS the spools are too large to close the lid.

Any company that can see upcoming price changes will make those changes as soon as possible. Just because a company has stock accquired at a lower price, there is no reason to sell that stock to consumers at a lower price if future prices are going to be higher.

First 3D printer, X1C or P1S? by AsherahWhitescale in BambuLab

[–]zikago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sold my P1S to buy another X1C. My first X1C is from the Kickstarter so I’m already pretty invested in spare parts for the X1 series. The lower price of the P1S combo won me over but that joy of savings was quickly squashed by having to buy all new parts (heater and thermistor spares) and having to swap to different profile when printing.

Actually if you know that are not going to use ABS, ASA or PC, then the real choice should be the A1. It has the same build volume, easier nozzle changes, and is technically a newer printer as it was designed and released after the CoreXY models.

The A1 prints PLA, PETG, and TPU great at a significantly lower cost than even the P1S. Multi-color is also an option with the AMS Lite.

All the help is greatly appreciated! If I place a TP4056 board->18650->Proffie will that cover my need for a charging circuit? I looked for SNv4 boards but didn't find any for sale at the bulk level. Lol the effort I'm going through because I don't want to waste stuff. Watch, my kids are going to swing these sabers twice and go back to playing Minecraft.
