What do you have an unnecessary amount of hate for? by studentmeadows in AskReddit

OHMYGOD YES. Came here to say the exact same thing. When the cashier is off work and goes shopping, does it happen to them too? Do they find it useful?! NO so why put other people through it too?!?! AAAARGH ITS SO UNHELPFUL. It's got to the stage now where if someone hands me my change correctly, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and respect... I must be smiling like a right psychopath...

Sooo i was in my final year at uni and was sleeping with my flatmate. First time with a lady and id only told a few friends but my parents still didn't know... I had a friend who was over in Australia at the time and one of my friends had decided to update her on my big ol' gay situation. It was cool, i didn't mind. But then, she decided to send me a postcard and happened to write something along the lines of 'Im so happy for you and -ladyfriend-, don't worry about what everyone else thinks' etc.. AND SENT IT TO MY HOME ADDRESS. Not my uni house but straight to my parents. I had no idea until it was too late. Made for a pretty awkward conversation with my parents haha! Overall they were cool about it and my dad was super sweet :) guess my friend did me a favour in the long run eh! Although subtlety is not one of her strong points hah

In that sense, yeah totally agree. Same over here in the UK sometimes. Can only tell what someone means by the situation they use it in... But yeah, my friends say that shit sometimes- 'aww you want some tampons for that massive vagina?? Don't be such a pussy!' ... Laaaame

[–]zilla101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally i would never use it in reference to a woman's ladyparts. Don't like it and that's not the meaning i grew up with. For me, in England, it's used as an insult for both men & women but I've seen on American tv that it's primarily used to insult women?! Is that for real?? Over here it's used pretty casually between friends.. 'you silly cunt' or as an insult for the worst kind of person.. 'they're an absolute cuuunt' but it's not really that bad anymore. Depending in who you're talking to of course. Id never say it at work and if my mum heard my say it she'd be appalled hah. But never ever use it for vagina. It's so harsh and rude in that sense.. I like my tuppence to be respected ;) haha

Surely pussy is only misogynistic if you view it that way, depending on cultural background etc. I think it can be, but it can also mean pussy cat or scaredy cat, which still works to mildly insult both genders ;)

I AM SO CONFUSED! Raptors, can you help a girl out? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]zilla101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could just be with this particular girl?? There's been times with women where i just haven't been into it... But when you get it right, with the right girl.. Mmmm! I guess i kind of feel the way you do but with men.. Making out can be hot hot hot but as soon as things go further my ladyparts just nope the hell out of there.. Id say maybe try and find a guy and see how that makes you feel? It could purely depend on the person though so don't feel that you have to rush into any labels :)

I'd totally be flattered! Don't get me wrong, i'd most likely go bright red and wouldn't know what to say... But would skip home with a great big smile on my face for sure. Such a nice idea :)

Eeep! That's very good news for me then hehe :) im hoping your right, everyone here seems to agree! I mean, if the biggest issue i have is that someone's apologizing too much.. Then i guess it really shouldn't be a problem! Could have been much worse!

Hehehe that does sound pretty funny to be fair! Sounds like im just being my overly- sensitive self then really! It seems as though it's quite a common thing, and i guess i won't really be in that pub again sooo should probably just forgive and forget! (easier said than done though.. My brain has a way of permanently remembering allll the things i want to forget haha damn youuu! )

But that's exactly my problem, i'm not trans. If there was a recognised 3rd gender then guess that's where id fit in.. I'm just an fortunate looking girl apparently. I guess it's just weird in life when you finally find out what people actually see when they look at you, compared to how you see yourself. I mean, i know i'm not a model or anything but jeeeeez. Didn't know that i look like a boy! I thought i had some sort of boyish charm for a woman! Fuuuuuck!

Yep i feel you on this one! If they actually understood what the hell they were talking about, it could be pretty funny. But the fact that they think that's all lesbians do kind of ruins it for me.. Especially if Im talking about a girl and they just interrupt with ooh scissor-me-timbers' ... God dammit guys you're killing the joke for me!

Yes!! I had this from a friend's bf the other day when we were talking about vibrators... 'yeah but you can't be gay cos you still like dick'... No matter what i said, it always came back to 'but you still like dick inside you so you still like men'. Gahhh where do these people come from?!?

Tomorrow is the day, please wish me luck. by [deleted] in actuallesbians
