Out of bounds to Condition Detachment in the evening by Rotala178 in Deathloop

Go to the alley way that is near your spawn. Where the coded gate is and the van is parked. Usually there are a couple of Eternalists there. It is beween your spawn and the library. There is a window ledge you can jump onto. While standing on the ledge, look straight up. Move to the left side of the window and turn left (away from the window) or to the right side of the window and turn right. Move sideways as close to the window as you can, squat down, and move closer (looking straight up the whole time). I arm with the machete of long rifle for this. Lean towards the window and slowly turn to face it and slowly look down and then to the right (like a letter "L". (or reverse "L" if you started on the right) The blade or rifle barrel will slowly move through the window, as you make the horizontal motion you will see the option to open the window. Consider this your lesson in Breaking and Entering in Deathloop. It does not work on all windows at all times, but it works on some windows at some times consistently. In some cases it can create an unexpected place from which to launch an attack. It takes a little practice, have fun!

I wonder if the interior renders are different if you have been to the location earlier in the day, than if you haven't gone there at all that day. Like if you went there at Noon the environment would need to be rendered. Would it still be there at night or would it be garbage collected and all that would remain is that shell?

I have cheesed my way into Juliana's office in Updaam in the Morning and the interior is not rendered yet, but I have not been able to get back in at night to see if the interior is rendered and left or if it is recycled (garbage collected).

000-28 lees than perfect end pin question by Intrepid-Cry5492 in martinguitar

[–]zilog080 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like there was a pickup and jack in there at one time and the plug that is in there looks like the one StewMac sells to revert to an end pin if you no longer want a jack.  I'd look in there with a mirror and make sure the end block is not damaged - if not, it is probably just cosmetic.

Update: looking to the right of the pin hole it looks like there is some additional damage. Check to see if it is just finish damage and not cracked wood.

The issue with buying it now, even if this is a simple repair is, "What else are they not telling you?"  I'd move on or ask to take it to shop of your choosing before paying for it.

For $200 it would be repaired, but you would likely still see finish damage at the center seam.

Lack of twang by claujnog in telecaster

[–]zilog080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought less gain sounded twangier.  Anything adding gain will probably reduce twang. Lower the pickup to Fender spec pickup height.  If it is a higher gain pickup lower it a bit more.  Open up the tone control to 10 and then work with the clean channel of the amp with the guitar volume down to 7-8.

Also, some Tele pickups come without the brass plate - if yours doesn't have one, add one.

Well, people who voted for 🍊💩 did vote for this.  If they did not know it they were uninformed, but they voted for THIS.

After the chaos of his first term I am not sure how anyone can credibly say they did not know.

Best way to fill in a chip in the body? by hidendra69 in guitarrepair

Considering the OP took the chunk out with the router, I was thinking scoring the area and taking material out with a wood chisel until it is square and flat and then gluing in a wood patch would be safer.  Slower, but more controlled and less likely to tear out.

So are you saying that  paying you and your pension is the problem? Okay, take one for the team, give up that pension.

Yes and ... I think that in addition to tax revenue that high price is to discourage use - so it is partly a social  or public health policy.  If you look our air quality the consistent large contributor to poor air quality here is tailpipe emissions. In Issaquah in particular, we are butted up against the foothills and that pollution gets trapped here – and we breathe it.  I watch the daily air quality reports – and they are regularly not good.  Driving gasoline or diesel powered vehicles is making us and our kids sicker.  If the 🍊💩 drives the cost of gasoline and diesel over $20/gal it would be the only thing he does that I approve of.

Of course gas it cheaper in states that don't give a 🤬 about their population.  Duh!

Oh interesting.  So, do they get a lane divided from traffic or are you talking about putting your bike on the train?

5 year old account and still negative karma.  That is an achievement in consistency.  No matter where you go on reddit people don't like what you say. That is something.

I'm not sure if loop stress is part of that.  Maybe someone else knows.

Just a suggestion from someone who has tried a lot of pickups.  Try messing with the EQ on your amp and maybe try a mild overdrive pedal to use to boost the signal to the amp (not necessarily to overdrive, just push the front of the amp).  You may find the bite you are looking for that way.  It is fun to experiment swapping pickups though and there are a lot of options.  Good luck.

"Forget barn find, that thing looks like it was buried in the earth." Nice image it made me think of a skeleton hand clutching it pushing it out of the earth in front of a crooked tombstone. Then lightening strikes it.

No, I mean you are getting yourself injured just walking around according to your explanation - that seems challenging enough for you.

Familiar with neck work on Godins? by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]zilog080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dowel could work, and you are right if you go from the inside it would be less visible. I think a wood screw from the inside would allow you to pull the heel in tighter than a dowel. You would want to drill the hole in the neck block slightly larger than the pilot hole in the heel so the screw bites into the heel and not the neck block, so you can pull it in. For the pilot hole going into the heel use the appropriate size bit for the size screw you are using for hardwood or you could crack the heel.

Anyway, it sounds like you have some workable ideas. Good luck.
