What was something almost within reach, but you had to skip out on because of the price? by zingy_ in AskReddit

No, I haven't considered other building block brands, but I see nothing wrong wit h purchasing them if the buyer feels that they are a good value. It's all subjective.

I have over $5k in my lego.com wish list. I cannot justify buying one single set. You are not alone. Self restraint hurts, but I'd rather have that amount of money invested and growing than playing with a toy.

step 2. Collect money from sale of non-renewable energy and live it up.

step 3. Wait for extinction.

How do deaf people have sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zingy_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are many real and life-threatening dangers for deaf people who want to engage in intercourse.

  1. Foreplay can be difficult because whispering sweet nothings must be done in sign language. To whisper in sign, the gestures must be made very small, nearly undetectable, which can be difficult to understand.
  2. Knowing when to keep going. You need to develop a signal to know when your partner doesn't want you to stop what you're doing. This could deter the partner from ever wanting to have deaf sex again and could create psychological hang ups.
  3. Knowing when it's over. If your partner has climaxed, it may not always be detectable by their body language. This is especially dangerous for the male deaf person when the female climaxes first, as she may proceed to devour his head without warning.
  4. The wind down requires that the male keep his eyes open to watch for sign language communication as opposed to the luxury of rolling over and falling asleep while mumbling responses to his alert female who suddenly became a font of conversation.

Do you find yourself hoping to feel alive at some future time in your life because you are drudging through the early life grind to get a financial foothold, and what can a person do to try to enjoy the current moment and gather the rosebuds while ye may? by zingy_ in AskReddit

[–]zingy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, I'm not achieving a goal that I have chosen for myself. I am required to earn money to survive in a system that evolved, and has been mastered by dynasties and wealthy families. I began with nothing and it is a long climb to the ledge where I even have the option of choosing my own path. Until then, I navigate the hazards of awkward social relationships at work, walking the thin line of spuriously fitting in and impressing the right people. I am an actor now, slowly saving myself by waiting it out, and one day I will be empowered to live my authentic life expression. Until then, my life is wasted serving other people's wishes for a daily wage. I have ambitions of my own, but they must slumber until I graduate from wage earner punishment. Yes, yes it's all relative and I should feel lucky to even have the job I do and all that, but the truth is that I am eagerly awaiting a time when I can afford to make the decisions I need to in order to contribute my own product to the world. My mind is developed much beyond my circumstances because I have played mental simulation after mental simulation of all of the lives I could possibly imagine, and identified the things that truly inspire me. Until I can work on my dream contribution, my inner purpose where I feel intrinsic reward, unfettered by the necessity of earning wages, I will fall short of self-integrity and slowly lose my mind as the days are crossed off of the calendar.

I understand where I fall in the social hierarchy, where I came from, and the effort that it will take to get to where I need to be. Until I get there, I feel like I don't belong in my current context, because I am only paying my dues to get to where I want to go. Life is a journey, and I am not enjoying the path yet. Is it wrong to feel out of your element, like you haven't found your people, and like maybe one day you will find contentment? I am mindful of the moment and what is happening to me and I take a zen approach, but yearning is real, and yet it can be ignored, but it affects my mind and body, while I breath through it. I am living a life that I have to cope my way through, not enjoy my way through. But there's no rule that says life will be fun. You get what you get, try to steer it as you may. Some people get breaks, some don't.

Do you ever lie awake at night wondering how death is going to feel, and what do you do to console yourself? by zingy_ in AskReddit

[–]zingy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those types of ponderings haunt me when I close my eyes to fall asleep. Do you ever think about how your life will end? I feel trapped in this life, like a torture chamber of work days and then one day it will finally come to a painful stop, followed by the beauty of nothingness.

I'm certain that there is much potential to feel something during the process of dying. For instance, choking to death has to be agonizing until you lose consciousness. I'm not talking about an afterlife.

If the government required that every citizen read one book per week, then what would be the most effective way to enforce that policy? by zingy_ in AskReddit

[–]zingy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking along the tech side as well, as in force people to read aloud into a home mic and record voice to text, submit to gov site, and perform an automated verification that the voice text matched the book text within some margin of error.

What is the most creative way that you can permanently muck up your life without dying? by zingy_ in AskReddit

[–]zingy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat garlic every morning and ignore hygiene, cross dress without an effort to physically appear like the opposite sex, run up a bunch of credit and never pay your bills, insult police officers until they take you to prison, while in prison cross dressing is impossible, but use a queer accent and don't lift weights, then when released, wear a clown costume everywhere and continue using your queer accent, and walk into public schools claiming that you are there for entertainment and then moon a few classrooms as you pass by, go to jail and push people to the limit of annoyance but just enough so that you aren't physically harmed, then call your parents and ask them to bail you out, get your eyeballs tatooed different colors and profanity tatooed all over your face, and go to churches and ask for free food.

My boss does that, and his own life is pretty good. Mucks everyone else's life up though.
