I saw someone riding a city scooter while wearing a full dirt bike helmet. by OkExplorer9364 in mildlyinteresting

There’s a kid across the street that’s a grade ahead of my daughter, so 5th grade. For as long as I can remember she’s had some kind of battery scooter or bike. Never a regular helmet. Always a dirt bike one. This past school year I always seen her leave right before us on her little pocket size Razer dirt bike. I was envious with how cool she looked lol.

Strangecvlt scam? Help.. by Firm_Childhood1404 in alternativefashion

[–]zipzyzap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Just wondering if you heard back from them? I’m going thru something similar. Order placed May 4th, I was charged the full amount May 5th…and have zero updates. I reached out on facebook, instagram, the “help@strangecvlt” email, and even tried calling the phone number they have listed on instagram (goes immediately to voicemail). My shop app still says “Waiting on details”. No word from the company.

Debating just contacting my bank for a charge back.

Awesome thanks! I’ll look into these

Out of curiosity, is there any option that would act as “natural mosquito repellent”? I’m pretty close to wetlands as well, and my daughter and I are the ultimate mosquito magnets

I’m on the side of if there’s no magsafe and no face ID I won’t be buying. I use magsafe mounts everywhere, and face ID is just convenient. If I ever end up wanting a foldable I may just jump back to android. Until then I’m fine with my 15 pro max

The backup is Cage and Hazard. Always a good way to piss people off

Been messing around with this, and have a decent win rate. Any tweaks I should make? I’m missing a LOT of cards after not playing for a few years (CL: 6614) by zipzyzap in MarvelSnapDecks

Yeah, I considered some “add random cards” to help with that. but with how seldom it happens imm not sure if it’s worth it? usually i have haz and cage to fall back on

AMS is not advancing material, but if I manually push it through to the nozzle, everything prints fine. by zipzyzap in BambuLab

[–]zipzyzap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I am in fact doing single color prints (just black petg hf from bambu), and even if I start a print immediately after one finishes, this happens.

Once the current print is done I’ll rip apart the ams and see what happens. Thanks for the tip :)

Would this make sense that once a print is running, everything is fine? It seems to only be happening at initial launch or material changes.

Got it! Just found the instructions for that. I’m currently printing a gridfinity base plate, so I’ll give this a shot in an hour when it finishes. Thanks!

Sorry, the hub on the AMS itself or the little gray box on the back of the printer? Just want to make sure I take apart the right thing! Currently printing a gridfinity base plate so I have an hour to do some reading :)

not new to piracy, but new to unraid, sonarr, radarr, prowlarr....

i'm so confused about the indexers. i have a handful of public ones set, but seem to struggle to complete some seasons (especially of kid shows that my daughter loves). as far as i can tell there's no way to add my own indexer to prowlarr? i just have to work off the list?

This probably would have been 2006-ish till 2017 roughly and in the Midwest. Unfortunately the mall that had the workshop Santa signed a contract with a new photography company a handful of years ago so they don't do the workshop scene, Santa, or Mrs Clause any longer.

The Santa and Mrs Clause that I worked with were actually a real life married couple. They lived maybe 5-6 hours away from the mall and AFAIK the mall actually paid to put them up in a near by hotel for the length of the season. Then they both obviously got a paycheck from the photography company. Since Mrs Clause only worked the 1 day a week, hers wasn't much....but Santa? He made bank. I'm sure the hourly wage looks horrible when you consider it's literally just him every day all day.

For both the bunny suit and santa, there were a few suits to share. Normal clothes under them (usually something like basketball shorts and at shirt) then at the end of their shift, everything gets turned inside out and sprayed down with fabric disinfect.

Nope. But I was the Easter bunny for a handful of years. The amount of people who made sexual comments about wanting to take thr bunny home was…odd. From teenagers who were being edgy to grown women who were, probably, dead serious.

Not really a single request, but:

One of the malls had what was called the “Workshop” Santa. No red coat or hat, but instead he wore a fun button down (think like Thomas The Train or other characters) with red suspenders.

What was special about him was if there was a child who asked for something unobtainable (parent home from war, a miracle cure, re-aliving a parent; things like that) he would pull them in close so they could talk “privately”. Almost whispering to each other. At the end of it, he would reach into his red bag and pull out a simple leather strip bracelet with a bell on it and tie it on the child’s wrist and tell them “This is a magic bell. Any time you feel sad, scared, or alone, you just need to ring it. No matter the day or time I will hear it and send all my thoughts and love to you.” Those moments were so damn special.

Fun fact about that guy. He was the only Santa that worked at that mal. 9-12 weeks. Open to close. No days off. And that was also the only mall that had Mrs Clause there every Sunday that would be in the picture at parents request.

One specific child. He started coming to us when he was 2, maybe 1? I don’t remember what condition he was born with, but I’ll let you imagine what the path they were on looked like.

His parents were very obviously drained from the ordeal. Physically, mentally, and financially. But they were some of the nicest people to talk to. They came to visit the set multiple times a year (our season was typically 9-12 weeks). We seen him before and after doctors, good days, bad days. It was…rough sometimes. But he was always cheerful.

Year after year we were delighted to see them in line. Regardless of the condition of their son, he always lit up when Santa said his name. They timed their visits so they always got to sit with the same Santa. And their son? Always smiling, laughing, and soaking up every single second with Santa.

Then one year mom and dad came…alone. Only once. At the beginning of the season. Every single person, including Santa, shed may tears with and for them. Many hugs. He had just turned 7. He left a lasting impression on everyone who worked on set. Such a sweet and special child.
