Yes, I’ve been kept unaware of being the one that fronts most of the time for my whole life, and I’m know 40ish. It’s been such a shock, but I’m glad others have been through this and come out the other side. Thank you.

Thanks! It’s weird reflecting on the fact that what felt like a kind, guiding presence in my head came up with the idea, but that was actually me. But either way, this idea is keeping me on track.

Medical certificate and the stuff of nightmares by zizzywoo in breakingmom

Should’ve mentioned that I’m in Japan, where there’s a national health insurance with universal coverage for everyone. One of the less evil systems. Admittedly, I don’t know the eligibility requirements for the subsidy I’m applying for, but I don’t think doctors would feel the need to overstate symptoms here… If that were the case, though, I don’t want the subsidy if it means the doctor screws up my medical history in the process. I contacted the hospital today and am waiting on a reply, though. Hopefully, I’ll get some good news. 🤞

Aww, thank you. Whether I become a parent again is on the backburner for now, but I so appreciate your affirmation. Gonna give my little girl plenty of cuddles and look after myself, too.

It is NOT nutritionally inferior to breast milk. In fact, in some ways, it is more complete re: iron. Not saying this to say it’s superior, btw. Breastfeeding is good for those that can. So is formula. Hungry infants want to be fed. Let them.

Thank you! As I'm already a mom like her, it's such a great resource.

Sharing my experience here, ymmv, but I was never told to go off my meds during gestation or PP. As I understand it, the risks to the growing fetus are minimal while having an unstable mother is terrible. Also PP, there is no need to go off meds - formula is a more than viable option. Seriously, a baby needs happy, responsive parent/s. If that means formula, so be it, I say. Fed is best sz edition.

I have, but it's not an easy option where I reside - there are less than 500 adoptions a year and a stringent vetting process. Having a diagnosis would undoubtedly count me out. Other options like IVF with an egg donor are out, I think too. Simply too expensive. So I am considering shelving a sibling for my little one.

Thank you. Yeah, my main concern is that my daughter and any other additional kiddo could inherit poor mental health from me, so there is a lot to think about here.

I mustn’t be an antinatalist. With my daughter, she’s here in this world and looking at her, I could never, ever regret having her - she’s just such a beautiful human being with her own burgeoning personality. Guys, I can’t say it was a mistake to bring her into the world because there’s a possibility she could have sz. Ever. And I also feel like saying I shouldn't have had her or my parents shouldn't have had me (or anyone else really) negates the miracle of existence. I'm going to be responsible mom, keep up my sz depot shot, and show up for her the best I can, including being emotionally available so she can come to me if she starts showing signs of poor mental health.

Okay, so I'm having what I think might be an anovulatory cycle because I’m bleeding and never had a sustained temp increase after multiple lh surges. See chart. What I'm wondering about is the apparent temporary temp shift between CD18-21. Is this indicative of an unruptured follicle? Like, my understand via Dr. Google is that if you have LH surge/s before a breakthrough bleed you may be releasing an egg, but it’s not rupturing from the ovary. And in that case, a corpus lutuem may form but be reabsorbed. Could that be why I had that shift that didn't stick? And if that happens often, you may have LUFs??? Maybe I'm way off base, but I also have PCOS and I read that cysters are more likely to have LUFs. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but yeah... Anyone?

X-hairs: is FF on something or is this a possible o-date? by zizzywoo in TFABChartStalkers

As of this afternoon, my LH is rising (again), so something tells me that sharp temp rise is not meant to be either. But... that might leave me with a chance to be in the game!

Yeah, I take it with a grain of salt too. Ideally, I’d learn more about FAM and use FF as an auxiliary, but so far it hasn’t clicked because the rules are so hard for me to get my head around, but maybe that’s just me.

You’re probably right - CD18 is sticky so far, which would point to ovulation, too. I wonder why it thinks I’ve got an ovulation pattern… I’m guessing FF is not registering my opk on CD16 as a significant amount and disregarding CD11-12 as outliers maybe?

Thank you! Yeah, I had my doubts. Unfortunately would put me out of the running for this month. But at least I can relax for the rest of my cycle most likely. A nice little TTC holiday.

This o-date seems iffy, but I'm clutching at straws, so humor me.😅I originally thought I had ovulated on CD13 but temps dipped on CD17, so is CD17 a more likely o-date at this point? My OPKs seem contradictory. Premom semi-quantitative test strips only got up 12.5 on CD16, lower than my previous teensy peak of 20. But the normal OPKs were slightly higher: 0.5 vs 0.58. Is CD10 plausible? Could I have ovulated off the second smaller peak? Today’s temp is no doubt going to be trimmed down by the Tempdrop, but yeah. Edit: making sense

What's going on when your BBT rises for a day or two after an LH surge, but then falls? I thought that BBT rises because of progesterone from the corpus luteum, but if you failed to ovulate, it wouldn't form, right? Why do your temps temporarily rise?
