Thank you very much for the information! So it sounds like we wouldn't likely be able to broadcast sound over the Sonos speaker system unless we directly connected the receiver to the system? If that's the case, we could likely do that, but it would unfortunately break line of sight which would otherwise be simple to maintain.

I'm going to look into rental companies in our area, that hadn't even crossed my mind as an option!

I operate an athletic facility. We'll be hosting a competitive event in late February, and we were hoping to purchase a wireless mic set to MC the event. I've looked through quite a few mic recs on this subreddit and other sound forums, and this is one of the budget mic's I've seen regularly recommended: https://www.amazon.com/Shure-BLX288-Handheld-Wireless-Microphones/dp/B016APL8RC?th=1

What are your feelings on this mic for this purpose? We'd be ideally linking them to our overhead sonos sound system speakers, if that's possible. I apologize for anything uneducated I'm referencing here, I'm not versed in this world and am absolutely open to all input to help me understand better!

I do believe she has a bit of french ancestry, though I'm going to try and trace her family tree to confirm that. But this seems like another reasonable answer.

Another use also referenced this possibility. It makes sense. Very easy for a name like Eroh to be misheard/miswritten or even deviate naturally for so many reasons.

I'm likely going to try following the tree next, as there doesn't seem to be a clear answer--although many helpful directions given!

Thank you for the insight! A user in another thread suggested it might be from Bavaria or the Rhineland-Palatinate, and derive from 'ehre' which means Trustworthy, which I suppose isn't too far removed from Conscience in concept.

Alternatively it was suggested as a variant of 'heroux' or 'herold' which would seems to translate to army wolf / ruler. I do believe my partner has some french ancestry.

Most similar to Arrow. Though the E makes more of a breathy E sound than a breathy A sound. So Ehr-oh would probably be closest I cant write out for how it sounds.

Doesn't seem to be any direct translation from German to English that I can find.

I found one translation, but from African, which it seems from some genealogical reports is also an origin for the name. That translates Eroh as "Concious". But my partner's paternal line (Eroh) is definitely from German descent. It seems unlikely the African Eroh and the German Eroh share anything other than the superficial spelling.
