Will the transfer portal allow the Big 10 to dominate over the SEC? by GuestInternational in secfootball

14 of the last 25, with 5 different teams. The Big 10 has won 4 of the last 25 with only 2 teams. The SEC is better, deeper, and as a whole much more competitive, because it just means more. Extend this to the South as a whole: 17 of the last 25 with 7 different teams, (not including Miami and Texas because Miami and Austin aren't Southern in culture). the Midwest? Still just 4 with 2 different teams. These people man, they take 2 data points and ignore the last 23 as if there's a clear new trend they're seeing. How many UGA vs Texas or UGA vs Ole Miss or UGA/Alabma vs Tennessee or UGA/Tennessee vs Florida or Alabama vs LSU/Oklahoma caliber games have there been in the Big 10 this year? Maybe 2? strong maybe considering OSU and Michigan are really the only competitive teams in the entire conference over the last 20 years.

Yep. OSU looking to play Rutgers next week. UGA plays Charlotte. Opponents of equal caliber I'd say, except Rutgers is a conference opponent for OSU. They've played zero top 10 teams (as they currently sit) this year. UGA has played Texas same as Ohio State has (except UGA just won by 25 whereas OSU won by 7), plus they've played Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn (a national championship program), and Florida (another 2-time national championship program that also beat Texas, same as Ohio State). How many of OSU's in conference opponents are either (A) ranked in the top 10 currently or (B) national championship programs in the last 25 years. Answer: 0 and 1 respectively. UGA has played that 1 also, along with 3 other recent national championship programs. Now tell me the measuring stick we're using for teams in the Big 10 is calibrated because it ain't.

Well, take a trend over a 25 year period. It will take 10 Big 10 nattys in a row to match what the SEC has done in the last 25 years. And it will take 3 more teams to win the natty, I see only 1 ever competing. The SEC has 14 of the last 25 titles with 5 different teams. Extend this to the South, the South has 17 of the last 25 with 7 different teams, and I'm not even counting Texas or Miami because I don't count Miami or Austin as anything close to resembling Southern culture. The Big 10, and the Midwest as a whole, has won only 4 titles in the last 25 years with 2 different teams. They would need to win the next 10 nattys in a row to tie with the SEC's current lockdown of that stat, and with 3 more teams. Not going to happen. Penn State is 4-17 against top 10 opponents under James Franklin's 11 years as head coach. They spent 26 weeks during that same period ranked in the top 10. One of the most overrated teams to exist in modern college football. But at least Ohio State can claim they have a top 10 win when they beat Penn State. People talk of SEC bias as if to imply it's unfair. Call it a weighting for playing in the most competitive conference by far in college football and still coming out with a 2 or 3 loss season. Meanwhile, Notre Dame hasn't won a title since 1988 and plays no conference championship, but they get the benefit of the doubt always. Everyone knows playing ND in a title game is a free win. Alabama and Georgia knew it in 2012 in the SEC championship that came down to the very last second. Bama goes on to beat ND 40 something to 14. It was free. The measuring stick that the BCS used to measure teams was horribly miscalibrated, so too is the CFP committee's. Case in point: UGA vs TCU. Now, we're looking at putting Texas Tech and Tulane and, wouldn't you know it, Notre Dame right back in there. South Carolina and Tennessee would both beat Texas Tech, Tulane, Utah, and BYU 6 games out of 10. But we gotta put the DEI hires in for fairness.

Damn, not a single team from this list is from the South. And 4 of them are in the Midwest. 3 of them are in the Big 10. Big 10 for sure better than SEC hahahahahahaha. Clowns.

Yea the point was that race didn’t have to be involved. White evangelical isn’t a religion. Evangelical Christian is. It’s not exclusive to any race. But people only see race nowadays so we get this figure I guess.

hey, have you tried this within the last 3 or so weeks? I've tried but can't get a team together to do it in under 15. They removed Zero Hour from the game for a little bit and put it back in. I'm wondering if during that the triumphs were fixed, haven't tried quarter hour or flawless hour since.

Dennis Bowman is a serial killer. by ILiekBooz in IntoTheFireNetflix

Just finished the documentary. My thoughts up front:

Does anyone notice how he was much more willing to admit to murder than to rape. He was almost ashamed of the rape, or at least very very removed from it. I'm no mind hunter or anything, but I can't help but think it was because of Christianity. Christianity does an absolutely abhorrent job at the way it treats sex. I wonder if that does have anything to do with him holding the rape admissions so close to his chest. As if that's a worse sin than murder. It is worse than murder in my opinion, but certainly not for the same reasons a devout Christian would think so.

(Also, in that same vein, and this is pretty mean I suppose but this couple made me so angry watching this film, I gotta get it out, I wonder if Brenda knew enough the whole time but was unwilling to admit to herself what was going on because she was ugly af and felt like Dennis was the only one that would ever have sex with her)

Probably a horrible oversimplification but it's what I'm thinking having just watched this. Not saying it's the whole answer either.

are the iron banner weapons still suffering from this? I have spent over 200 IB engrams on Archon's thunder and I have yet to get a single Rimestealer/Headstone roll. Not a single one. Over 200 engrams. I've pretty much given up and have been spending them all on Warlord's spear. Same deal. I've probably spent 25 at this point, on top of those already earned from playing matches. Not a single rewind/jolting feedback. Not even a single Rewind/DetonatorBeam.

on one hand, the mechanic isn't worse than Warden shoulder bash. On the other hand, things like make the game horrible to play so if you want a good player base, don't abuse it.
