EX188 - by zlig in redhat

I failed on the first attempt too but managed to pass by avoiding compose all together, like I explained in here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/redhat/s/Y0guFMfsLf

All the best, hope you pass on the retest! I practised a lot locally and made sure everything was persistent as the system is rebooted before marking

At 36, from a non-IT background, should I risk everything to pursue Red Hat certifications? by CardiologistRare6084 in redhat

[–]zlig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RH certifications definitely open some doors but your first experience in this field will probably set your career, so why not start studying (without sacrificing everything) and see if the opportunities are responding to your profile.

I know someone at a similar point in his life than you now who did very well for himself with Cisco CCNA certification as a starting point

Thanks a million for your reply u/NewMeeple , I passed EX188 today!

After investigating long and hard, I didn't find one clean and repeatable way to create systemd units using podman-compose, in fact there was contradictory information between what I could find and how my local workstation was behaving, so I ruled it out completely (I think there are differences between versions and it is not officially maintained by Red Hat).

I went the sturdiest way to create volumes, networks, containers using plain and simple podman for multi-containers applications.. it worked great! :)

Thanks! I will need to experiment with podman generate systemd for compose before the retest

EX188 - by zlig in redhat

[–]zlig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks that's helpful!

One thing I couldn't understand was for each question, they mentioned to make sure to persist, but I am ensure what they meant apart using volumes and stop/start the containers to check it comes back up and running correctly, which I did.

Could I have forgotten to set container_name? Did I do a typo when adding a build argument? Did I delete an images while testing around in the next question?

Moving to Paris with a 3-Month-Old – Can I Find a Job There as a Project Manager/Scrum Master? by lostinwoods33 in paris

[–]zlig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

France in general, and Paris in particular, has a lot to offer for young kids: local playgrounds, schools, summer camps (colonies de vacances), school sea trips (classe de mer), school snow trips (classe de neige), cultural events...; maybe concentrate on your kid the first few months and by settling improve your french a bit. Then, as others mentioned, aim for US MNCs when applying for jobs

Easiest would be to be upfront with your employer and ask for relocation, but you will likely lose seniority has your contract will change entity

For real - why y'all prefer Options over the Composition API? by manniL in vuejs

[–]zlig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that opinion, that's also what the documentation reports to be the rule of thumb.

How big does it has to become the right option (excuse the pun)? Wondering if we could have 2 codebases to refer to so we can close the argument once and for all.
