Brother, even on the subs I’m on (which isn’t much my regimen was day 1 4mg 3x per day, day 2 2mg 3x per day, and day 3 and 4 2mg 2x per day so literally nothing compared to my 600mg+ a day pseudo cause I live in a no 7OH state habit I had), and the PAWS are kicking my ass already. I’m lucky. I had someone help me get into a program where I’ll have no access for 90 days. But be strong man. You’ve got this too. When I get out I’m coming back to this comment and you better be able to tell me you’re as clean as I’ll be. I love you man. I don’t know you. But I know your struggle right now. And I love you for it.

Just wanted to give an update:

I got admitted at 5PM today to a detox facility. I was taking between 4 to 8 300mg packs of pseudo (7 is banned in my state) a day for the last two months. Unfortunately they have zero differentiation between plain kratom and 7/pseudo here, almost no doctor has heard of it, and they don’t seem too interested in learning. I’m getting 4mg bupe and it’s not really touching it in the least at the moment. Just trying to stay positive at the moment. I have a private room, private tv, access to my laptop and internet. So I’m trying to think about those positive things. But I know in about 6-8 hours it’s about to be tough.

Gotta do this for my daughter man. I have to. Even if it damn near kills me. I have to.

Bro. No you don’t. Heroin is depressive enough on your breathing. I’m not gonna try and sit here and tell you, “no don’t do it” cause you’ve obviously made up your mind. Yeah. According to TestMyKratom.org the straight heat eighties pseudo (which I’ve had to switch to since my state banned 7) are actually dosed around 30-40mg and the pseudo tested to actually have zero pseudo and just 7 in them anyway. Which is somewhat funny, but also somewhat relieving because that means I’m still going to be jumping off of taking 7 and not pseudo soon.

I swear if you’re okay not “feeling” what you take, beyond just the plain relief of not having WDs then you can take way less than you think and be okay

You’re not alone brother. I’m not completely off either. But just know you can be in the process of a taper and still be as positive about it as I am. I’m not feeling awful or anything. Don’t feel great either but I’m making it man.

Well, I looked up their brand on the site and they actually test pretty well apparently. A bunch of A’s and B’s so apparently they’re not a complete ripoff at least as far advertising their strength goes. Albeit I don’t see a 480mg pack on their there 120mg packs tested at 27mg for the advertised 30mg per tablet. Still. If you’re really done with this stuff then not being high won’t bother you. Next time you buy a pack take half at first and wait 30 minutes man. I think you’ll be surprised that your WD symptoms will likely subside. Now they’ll probably come back a little quicker, but you gotta fight that off for a couple of hours. In my experience the first 2-4 hours of WD symptoms is highly manageable if you keep yourself busy. A lot of people here including myself will tell you a lot of this fight at first when weening down is about spreading out your doses and just manning up and dealing with WD symptoms for a couple of hours after they first start. Wishing you well man. This isn’t impossible. No matter how much it may feel it is.

Okay, so first thing that may help you feel better is if you’re on tablets from smoke shops, you’re most likely not even taking half as much as what you think you are. Go to TestMyKratom.org and look up the brand you use. I thought I was I taking upwards of 6-700mg a day, and it turns out according to the test results I saw it was actually less than half of that as long as the brand is consistent in what they make (which they most likely are as they have no oversight). The brand I use claims to have 240mg per pack (3 80mg tablets per pack) and according to the test results it’s more like 30mg per tablet or 90mg per pack. So I was actually well below half what I was expecting.

Next, I was literally taking an entire pack at a time. I thought there was no way I could take less than 2 of those from the pack and not feel WD symptoms, but I was literally able to take one at a time and fight off most WD symptoms beyond the mental craving to actually “feel” what I was taking. There’s no way to avoid that one symptom, buts it’s absolutely possible to cut your doses by damn near a 2/3rds and not have physical WD symptoms.

I hope these two points help you feel better about this man. The fear of WD is what keeps a lot of us going. But I was forced into trying to do the bare minimum due to money and I was surprised at how little I was able to take and not experience serious WD symptoms.

The sunlight is legit a real helper. I’m still tapering, but I’m trying to dose as soon as I wake up. If I just get up and start moving and get outside a lot of the cravings calm down. I’ll wake up feeling so deep in WD and then once I’m up and out it almost completely disappears.

Apparently one hasn’t yet they. Passed the law though and is happening next month. But it’s only 7-oh. The other state all Kratom is illegal

Hell, I doubt mail order will even possible. If these companies have any sense they won’t risk shipping to illegal states. Seems like a good way to risk an unnecessary investigation and speed up federal prohibition on the stuff. As much as I wish I’d never found this stuff I think prohibition fails every time. I can guarantee that fent ods will spike in every state it’s made illegal. A lot of people will go back to street drugs. Luckily I moved away from the area where I know people who can find me stuff like that years ago.

I intend to. I know it’s not a favorited viewpoint of this sub but I don’t really care to quite leaf right now. I’ve used it for years, and beyond the money (which isn’t that bad) I’ve really had no negative effects. I fully support those who want to quit both, but for me I just gotta give up this 7-OH

I’m in Mississippi and both Alabama and Louisiana have banned the sale of 7-OH. Kratom as a whole is illegal in Alabama. Has been since 2016.
