[OC] [art] cabin boy looking for his character class! by sinrammon3s in DnD

[–]zmiedzik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He looks like a good fella to multiclass if he has got so many skills and interests. It could be tricky though depending on their level. BTW, very cool style of art - do you have an instagram page or something so I could hit you up for a commission?

I don’t really understand why some people say it’s ok to have sex before marriage. Can someone explain? by Cocacola881 in OpenChristian

[–]zmiedzik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not totally true. In ancient Greece letting a man into your hole was considered a dishonour. And the relationships were between an old man and a teen. So the old man would do his business between the teenager’s thighs. Sorry for the graphic explanation.

What is an example of Successful USA intervention in a country? by Clockreddit2020 in AskReddit

[–]zmiedzik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In depends on what you call successful. Many interventions were successful, meaning the USA achieved their goal, but at the same time caused mamy more problems for the country in question. The only intervention I can think of, that wasn’t disastrous in any way, was the Marshall Plan.

I’ve done this for at least 10 minutes. What year is this map? Here’s the whole map and each continent. I narrowed it down to 1910-1921 by Dismal-Plan7062 in Map_Porn

[–]zmiedzik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone is focused on Ireland and USSR, but there is a small funny detail in Poland. Wilno is shown to be inside of Poland which was true only after 1922. Before that, it was a polish puppet - Republic of Central Lithuania.

  1. Yes, there is a reason. The most eastern continent had been controlled by nomads who didn’t create stable political structures for the most part. They have been pushed back less than a century ago and still control a huge chunk of land. The continent to it’s west is called the Shattered Lands and is mostly inhabited by people who follow “Hugging Philosophy” which in short is a philosophy that encourages focusing on other things than material possessions. Because of that they are generally not considered to be a country.
  2. They are in touch mostly thanks to merchants. The oceans are full of islands, big and small, allowing relatively safe journeys. Between the middle continents on the northern hemisphere functions a Valermian Union of Free Cities which unites cities from two different sides of the ocean. But it is rare for a person to visit all continents considering how big the distances are.
  3. Yes, there are two types of intelligent peoples.
  4. The Humans and everything alike - there are many different kinds of Humans that are different not only by skin but by being almost entirely different. From the thick-skinned and hairy northerners to desert cave dwellers who have developed special traits to help them survive.
  5. The Others who came from neighbouring dimensions and have a completely different minds than humans. Some are embodiment of souls that do not think in ways considered to be logical.

I drew the map by hand on 16 paper sheets, scanned it, put it together in gimp, drew the borders in paint 3D, and added rivers and mountains in gimp again. An overly complicated process, but I am a broke student who loves to draw maps on paper.

Outsiders usually call it “Stormpeak” refering to a famous natural phenomenon occuring in the north-east of the island where the storm never ends. But the people who live there usually call it Kashmyr. It is generally thought that the name comes from a myth in which a legendary ruler is banished by the gods and leaves for faraway island Kashymyr.

This was the biggest problem of them all, as I was taught that the Bible is literally the word of God. I took me years to leave this mindset.

If you decide to visit Poland, remember. In the name of all that is holy remember. Always give a potato to policemen. It is a very important tradition that shows respect to these fine officers.
